    Research Administrator

    Research and Grant Institute of Ghana (REGIG) is looking for a dynamic, energetic, purposeful, goal-oriented and team player to join its management team.

    Position: (Research) Administrator

    Reporting to: Executive Director

    Responsibilities

    • Create, update, and maintain records and databases of research grants, grant sources, research opportunities
    • Create, update, and maintain records and databases of personnel, financial and other data
    • Carry out clerical duties such as managing phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.) and taking minutes at meetings
    • General office management such as Keeping stock of office supplies and place orders when necessary and keeping, updating asset register
    • Oversee the maintenance of office facilities, and equipment.
    • Maintaining REGIG’s social media accounts and website
    • Submit timely event-specific and annual reports and prepare presentations/proposals
    • Perform bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing, monitoring accounts receivable, and budget tracking.
    • Organize, arrange and coordinate both internal and external events/programs/activities, including travels.
    • Attend workshops, meetings and conferences when requested
    • Ensure adherence to relevant company procedures and policies
    • Performing other relevant duties when needed.

    Requirement

    • A good first degree or master’s degree in business administration, social sciences, health sciences, pure/basic sciences or related field.
    • Good track record in research or demonstrable interest in research
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Familiarity with or readiness to learn office management procedures and basic accounting principles
    • Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and office management software
    • Self-motivated, trustworthy and comfortable handling confidential information.
    • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work with little supervision.
    • Attention to details, very critical, analytical and attitude to challenge status quo constructively

    Remuneration
    A negotiable, attractive remuneration package with additional benefits such as allowance.
