Senior Manager, International Education Policy and Systems
Master's Degree in education or related field with 12 years of related work experience; or Ph.D. in education and 8 years of relevant experience working on education programming in Africa.
Qualifications:
Experience designing, managing, and providing technical assistance for education policy and systems in education improvement programs in low- and middle-income country settings
Experience partnering with Ministry of Education political and technical leadership in support of activities funded by USAID, World Bank and other donors.
Experience addressing issues of education system and community/family resilience to socio-economic disadvantage as well as to crises and conflict.
Experience and expertise in girls education, gender-based programming, and addressing issues of inequities in education.
Demonstrated capacity to write and contribute to successful technical proposals for education activities in low-and-middle income countries, including serving as the lead proposal writer, performing capture/scoping work, partnership development, and reviewing proposals.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
Ability to work independently and within matrix teams.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to travel internationally as needed.
Culturally sensitive and respectful.
Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Must be able to live and work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
