    Sales Executive

    About the job

    The sales executive is responsible for the achievement of sales targets in his or her sales territory. Potential customers and customers should be advised professionally, with their needs met in line with the interests of the company. He or she should also offer and sell additional dealership services to the customer, for example, leasing, financing, and insurance. The objective is to underline the values of the brand/s, guarantee market share, and secure revenues for the dealership. 

    Responsibilities: 

    • Plan and carry out prospecting activities for selected target groups in his or her sales territory.
    • Manage the tender portfolio within the company and monitor tender submissions and participation
    • Product Presentations and Test Drive:
    • To carry out the vehicle presentations systematically and to involve the customer intensively in the process
    • To enable the customer to experience the car with all senses, to make the presentation a genuine experience for the customer
    • To bring the customer closer to choosing a car through active observation and questioning 
    • To organize a test drive of the desired car
    • To prepare the test drive (selection of a test-drive route including various areas of experience, accessories/equipment)
    • To check the car
    • To structure the test drive as an experience (including a brief, understandable introduction to controls and operation)
    • To evaluate the test drive together with the customer
    • Plan and carry out prospecting activities for selected target groups in his or her sales territory
    • Follow-up on a daily basis the newspaper to conclude all of the tender announcements and to participate in that tenders as assigned by the line manager
    • Analyze his or her market potential and monitor the achievement of sales volume targets.
    • Monitor competition; by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc...
    • Set up and systematically maintain the customer file and potential customer file, as well as input current customer data and other customer data collected from various sources
    • Appointment booking for delivery:
    • To arrange the reconditioning of the car
    • To obtain the required documents and papers
    • To arrange for the handover of the new car with maximum customer orientation to make the process a positive experience for the customer
    • To handle complaints to the satisfaction of the customer and the company
    • To develop and provide systematic Aftersales customer care in order to create the basis for repeat sales
    • Follow up on the outstanding payment, either the governmental payments or the corporate accounts, and the outstanding due cheques
    • Participate in departmental and company-sponsored events such as exhibitions, trade shows, product displays, and seminars. And Represent the company on official assignments and events as may be delegated by the department head
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, and Online dealer training; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

    Qualification: 

    • Have Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
    • 3+ years of Automotive sales experience
    • Proven experience in the field of automotive customer relations and marketing 
    • A resident of Kumasi or neighboring areas

    Skills:

    • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communicator.
    • Excellent phone and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of SAP is an additional advantage
