Sales Manager at Summit Recruitment and Search

The ideal candidate will have strong B2B sales experience, a solid understanding of international trade, and deep industry connections within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for flat and profile steel products in Eastern Africa.
• Identify and pursue new B2B sales opportunities within construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors.
• Oversee and support the Sales Engineer, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
• Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and deal closures.
• Conduct regular market research to stay informed on trends, competitors, and customer needs.
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven B2B sales experience in steel or related industrial products.
• Strong understanding of the Eastern Africa market (e.g., Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia).
• Solid knowledge of flat and structural steel products and their applications.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated success in developing new business and closing deals.
• Bachelor’s degree Engineering, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the region.
