Senior Associate - Financial Reporting at I&M Bank

Job Purpose

The job holder will be responsible for:

• Bookkeeping for non- banking subsidiaries - processing payment, filling tax returns, supplier reconciliation
• Prepare monthly management packs and board papers for the nonbanking subsidiaries.
• Review the Banks Annual report for upload on the Bank Website.
• Prepare quarterly and annual audited financial statements for the nonbanking subsidiaries.
• Prepare monthly Group EXCO and quarterly GALCO packs
• Prepare annual budgets and forecast for the nonbanking subsidiaries
• Supporting in coordinating external audits.
• Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of fixed assets for non- banking subsidiaries, investment schedules (government securities), rental schedules
• Liaise with internal and external audits, and regulators to ensure that all audit actions points relating to financial audits are implemented in full and on time.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable financial reporting standards.
• Communication: Clear and effective communication with stakeholders and team members.
• Technology Proficiency: Mastery of accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Financial Analysis: Able to analyze trends, forecast financial outcomes, and make informed suggestions to positively impact the company's financial future.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Staying up to date with the latest financial regulations and compliance measures is crucial for ensuring that reports meet legal standards.
• Communication: Clear articulation of complex financial information to stakeholders of various levels of financial acumen is necessary.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking or Business-related field
• Be a full member of a relevant professional body e.g. ICPAK.
• The candidate should also have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in finance
• Knowledge in QuickBooks accounting package is an added advantage.
