    Senior Manager, Products & Services User Experience (UX) Design

    About The Job

    Position Summary:

    • Responsible for identifying and understanding MTN Ghana’s Consumer roles / persona and support in re-designing and improving commercial portfolio to make MTN Ghana’s products or services usable, enjoyable, and accessible.
    • This will include but not limited to defining user scenarios, storyboards, and workflow to improve user experience of the consumer base via the products & services (P&S) portfolio.

    Job Requirements:

    • To translate marketing ideas in the areas of product concepts, pricing, and incentive/loyalty schemes into the tangible benefits that customers can enjoy.
    • Contribute to the development of strategies for MTN Ghana’s products and services, demonstrating an understanding of the business strategies and needs of the customer.
    • Develop detailed User experience plans in support of approved strategies, organizing required resources, monitoring and periodically reporting progress of plans.
    • Develop and implement a framework to guide product managers in the development of all products and services in the different business portfolios.
    • Develop possible future scenarios product portfolio by considering current and future technologies and determine combination of features and scenarios that will positively impact and satisfy customer’s needs and aspirations.
    • Identify and advise on new opportunities for MTN Ghana to explore by providing guidance on products and services user experience based on the evolution of technologies.
    • Facilitating and leading user research results to internal and external stakeholders
    • Analyzing information needs, data flow user feedback and activities and iterating to enhance user experience
    • Creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, screen flows and developing personas and usage scenarios for business to better understand the expected user experience on the different products and services
    • Creating product prototypes and conducting usability testing
    • Identify alternate and continuous ways to improve P&S experience and drive improvements
    • Assist with content development
    • Leverage on insights / consumer understanding to be user advocate internally to drive product development
    • Conduct competitor and customer analysis to better guide the business
    • Report on areas as assigned by line manager

    Professional/Technical Competencies:

    • Deep understanding of users and consulting with clients / internal stakeholders to understand their Understanding of goals
    • Solid understanding of Graphic Designing and web technologies
    • Skills in wire framing and usage of tools – Figma, UXPin or Adobe XD
    • A good grasp of design programs – Photoshop, Illustrator Canva etc.
    • A good appreciation of AB testing and consumer understanding and insights
    • Understanding business needs of the Ghanaian market
    • Market Research and Insights
    • Interpretation of Big Data
    • Financial Acumen
    • Project Management and Cross functional Working Skills
    • Commerciality and Sound Marketing Judgment
    • Interpretation of IT/Technical systems/architecture.

    Education:

    • University Degree in Marketing or a relevant field
    • Certification in Marketing or a related field or Masters’ Degree in Marketing or Business is a plus.
    • Scrum Master and/or Product Owner certification is a plus
    • Design Thinking certification is an advantage

    Experience:

    • 8 years relevant experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role preferable in a telecommunication organization or other relevant industry
