Job Purpose

The purpose of this job is to facilitate the procurement of goods, works and services, inventory management and disposal in accordance with the Public Procurement Asset Disposal Act (PPADA), 2015, Public Procurement Regulations Disposal Act of 2020 (PPRDA).The job holder will be answerable to senior officers in the division.

Job Specifications​​​​​​​

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:

• Participating in conducting periodic stock take;
• Conducting stock take and generating reports;
• Reconciling of stores, contracts and payment documents;
• Identifying unserviceable and obsolete assets;
• Maintaining inventory levels through stock control;
• Preparing local purchase and supply orders;
• Participating in receiving and inspection of goods;
• Ensuring security and safety of stores and equipment; and
• Processing payments as per the contract terms.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

• Cumulative service period of six (6) years’ work experience three (3) years of which should have been in the grade of Supply Chain Management Assistant II or in a comparable position;
• Diploma in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
• Membership to the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) and in good standing;
• Proficiency in computer applications.
