Kofa was established to re-engineer how people access energy. We're building a 21st century energy network to power everything from mobility to the home, all in a clean, affordable and accessible way using portable batteries that can be accessed at our swap stations or delivered directly to customer.
This network involves many moving parts, including battery swap stations, batteries, motorcycles, and people, and needs to operate with the utmost customer delight. We are looking for a rockstar VP of Operations to make that happen.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, policies and standards to enable monitoring of the key drivers for customer excellence.
Oversee assembly, asset management, infrastructure deployments and battery network operations, ensuring each is reaching company goals.
Lead and manage the optimisation of the Kofa battery network to drive customer success
Lead and manage a 24/7 shift team to operate the reliability of the Kofa battery network with rotating on-call schedules, escalation paths, and emergency response plans
Lead and manage all customer support activity.
Lead coordination of efforts across all teams such as operations, engineering, sales, finance and customer support to execute and deliver on company and customer goals.
Ensure the primary infrastructure for the battery network (swap stations and batteries) are effectively maintained, and administered to ensure smooth reliable operations.
Oversee all inventory for required parts and products to deliver in line with sales orders and customer support needs
Work closely with the Product development team to leverage software and technology to improve operations to serve the customer.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals
Champion and manage health & safety across the business and ensure policies remain up to date
Provide regular business performance updates
Lead expansion into new cities
Required Skills/Abilities:
Previous experience in strategy formation and execution frameworks
Previous experience in managing a 24/7 shift team
Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Previous experience of managing a team larger than 20 people
Previous experience in managing a team across geographies
Previous P&L responsibility preferred
Education and Experience:
At least 10 years of relevant experience within electrical engineering and operations
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a leading university
Ideally familiar with Agile as a working framework
