After our creation in 1989, DKT opened its first offices in Ethiopia (1990), Brazil, Philippines (1991), India (1992), Vietnam (1993) and China and Indonesia (1996), firmly establishing ourself in some of the largest countries in Africa, South America and Asia.
We have historically established stan... read mored-alone programs in each country, shouldering the costs of starting up and maintaining the requisite infrastructure. For the most part, we have focused on countries in large markets because it is easier to have a large impact and do it in a more cost-effective way. The cost of setting up an office in Benin (with a population of 10 million) is essentially the same as setting one up in neighboring Nigeria (173 million). Expenses related to back office support, key staff and regulatory issues tend to have a minimum threshold of cost regardless of the size of a country.
Pros: The company is really doing well in helping Nigeria as a country with adequate sex education and birth control through the distribution of contraceptive pills.
I will be glad if I will be contact and given an opportunity to work with this great organization.
