    Collection Officer

    Job Description

    The role involves meeting weekly collection targets, working closely with branch staff, local authorities, and security officers to follow up on arrears. It includes resolving defaults, handling customer queries, participating in collection drives, and ensuring all DD+8 accounts are followed up weekly. Proper documentation of interactions, customer rehabilitation after payments, and consistent follow-ups on PTPs are essential. Before branch visits, all customers must be contacted, and both entry and exit meetings should be conducted to track progress.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 1 year experience as a Collection Officer in a recognized financial institution
    • Diploma or Degree in a business-related course
    • strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • proven ability to meet targets and build client relationships
    • self-driven and results-oriented
    • must be willing to work in Nairobi
    • Rift Region
    • and Central Region.

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve the Weekly collection targets set per branch arrears
    • Manage relationships with local authorities and Security Officers
    • Work closely with the branch staff and the call center while doing their role of collections
    • Investigate on reason for default and resolve any customer queries and escalate any customer complaints
    • Participate in collection drives across all branches
    • Ensure all accounts from DD+8 are thoroughly followed up
    • Customer rehabilitation after full payments of the default
    • Ensure all interactions are well keyed in in the system
    • Follow up on PTP done earlier
    • Maintaining patrol trinity
    • Ensure to have called all the customer in a branch prior to your visit
    • Ensure to have an entry meeting (what you intend to achieve in the time you will be in that meeting) and an exit meeting (what you achieved during your visit in that meeting)
    • Ensure each defaulted account is contacted each week.

    Relationship Officer

    Job Description

    We are looking for a self-driven and results-oriented Loan Officer with at least 1 year of experience and a Diploma or Degree in a business-related field. The role involves sourcing clients, processing loan applications, assessing creditworthiness, setting repayment terms, and ensuring timely collections. You’ll also manage repeat clients, maintain accurate records, and uphold excellent customer service and professionalism. Strong communication skills and the ability to meet targets are essential. Must be willing to work in Nairobi, Rift Valley, or Central Region.

    Responsibilities

    • Marketing and Meeting with clients interested in taking out a loan and providing them with the necessary information to start the loan application process
    • Achieving set disbursement new customer repeat loans and collection target
    • Collecting the needed KYC documentation and assessing the clients & credit worthiness as per the business
    • Calculating and analyzing the risk ratios of clients based on their credit score and financial history
    • Leads collection
    • categorizing and communicating your decision to both clients and management
    • Setting up payment plans for clients explaining daily weekly or monthly installments interest rates and other costs
    • Maintaining records of loan applications by using core banking system
    • Managing repeat & top up clients by organizing follow-up meetings with clients
    • Monitoring the progress of the loan repayments installments and relaying any concerns to the clients
    • Ensuring that loan applications are in line with the company & SOP’s policies as well as state laws and regulations
    • Ensure customers are well trained on the product and any other training that the company would like to offer to the customer
    • Ensure all Brisk customer are treated with dignity and all customer feedback either compliment or complaints are recorded
    • Ensure personal hygiene of the highest level by being neat and well presentable while conducting any business on or behalf of Brisk.
