    Consultant–UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration

    • • Be responsible for the update and finalization of the UN Decade’s Resource Mobilization Strategy and its action plan, as well as related documentation and briefs.
    • Be responsible for the preparation and follow-up to resource mobilization meetings, conferences, consultative workshops in close coordination with the Decade’s Coordination Group (UNEP and FAO) and key partners.
    • Support resource mobilization activities for the World Restoration Flagships and UN Decade’s Action Plan and develop related applications, budgets and other documentation as appropriate, engage into the communication in coordination with relevant colleagues and partners.
    • Provide inputs to the planning and framing of the UN Decade’s activities, including for its second half (2026-2030).
    • Develop reports, notes, web stories, and other follow-up documents to the related meetings and events.

    Qualifications/special skills

    • Academic Qualifications: An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in environmental affairs, climate change and nature conservation, economics, business administration or a related field is required.
    • A first-level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
    • At least 3 years of professional experience in mobilizing investments and working with private sector, Environment Social and Governance (ESG) or programme management is required. Experience in developing strategies and implementation plans for organizations is essential.

    Senior Finance and Budget Assistant

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare accurate and timely financial analysis and reports to management and funding partners
    • Research, analyze and present findings on the organization’s income data and patterns including funding needs and gaps, preparation of profiles of the funding partners and their contributions to the organization and responses to the auditors.
    • Develop surveys and design data collection tools as well as the review and interpretation of the responses and preparation of conclusions.
    • Review, analyze and prepare annual income estimates and revenue proposals, including preparation of the Voluntary Indicative Scale of Contributions and other instruments that support resource mobilization.
    • Provide data and financial expertise for the development and maintenance of automated income information, reporting and management tools by using platforms, e.g. Power Business Intelligence and assesses and monitors the data accuracy, completeness and relevance.
    • Prepare draft submissions to statutory, other standard and ad hoc reports to the Governing Bodies, Senior Management and other funding partners.
    • Monitor integrity of various financial databases to ensure accuracy of income information based on actual pledges and payments received.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

    Work Experience

    • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in finance, budget, accounting, administrative services or related area is required.
    • The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to eight (8) years for candidates who possess a first level university degree or higher.
    • Experience in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) accounting and finance system and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) is required.
    • Experience in preparation, analysis and presentation of financial reports using MS Excel in a public sector or international organization is required.
    • Experience working with UN or similar international organization is desirable One (1) year or more experience in corporate data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik, Self-Service Analytics) is desirable.

    Senior Programme Management Assistant

    Responsibilities

    • Programme/Project Management Independently provide end-to-end support for programme/project management and implementation. Conduct research, compile, analyze, and summarize information/data on various programmes/projects. Serve as a focal point for coordination, monitoring, and expediting implementation activities.
    • Prototype Early Warning Systems Organize and facilitate low-cost online consultations, demos, and feedback gathering for the prototype. Prepare outreach materials, identify necessary services/functions, and identify gaps/opportunities for improvement.
    • IT Support and Development Provide comprehensive support for computer information systems, databases, and applications. Serve as the focal point for overseeing operation and functionality and facilitating discussions between users and consultants. Ensure data integrity through cloud backups and engagement with users for feedback and strategic inputs.
    • Administrative Tasks Prepare newsletters, documents, and provide secretariat services to committees and task forces.
    • Support in reporting on the project. Establish and manage internal databases to support programme/project objectives.
    • Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making.
    • Assists with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education

    • A high school Diploma or equivalent is required.

    Job - Specific Qualification

    • Supplementary training in the field of project management, research, analysis, and IT support skills is desirable.

    Work Experience

    • A minimum of Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in program/project coordination, stakeholder engagement, IT system management and administrative services, or related areas is required.
    • The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to eight (8) years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
    • Experience with the United Nations or a similar international organization is desirable.
    • Experience in conducting research and analyzing data for projects is desirable.
    • One (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
