About the Opportunity

• We are looking for a creative Copy writing Volunteer to write clear and concise copy for our brand ads, publications and websites, and marketing materials. Your words will inform and engage target audiences.
• Our ideal candidate is a team-spirited, skilled and imaginative writer with an eye for detail; one who can sell our target audience to our brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct high-quality keyword research and interviews, producing interesting written content and proofreading work for accuracy and quality.
• Writing clear, error-free compelling copy for SkilledUp Life various mediums (e.g. ads, blog posts, newsletters, social media and website posts) that reflect brand’s voice.
• Working closely with other team members, and company leadership to build marketing projects and campaigns.
• Checking briefs from in-house and clients to ensure that the scope of the project is clearly defined and the outcome is identified.
• Collaborate with Video and graphic designers and the marketing team to ensure that copy fits the needs of the project.
• Contributing to, in-house style guides to ensure that all content is consistent.
• Liaising with company leadership and clients to ensure that service information is correct, especially on website and in company materials.
• Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach.
• Writing high-engagement social media content that reflects the brand voice.
• Interpret copy-writing briefs to understand project requirements.
• Work with the head of sales and marketing to write compelling pieces (articles, posts, speeches) for all of her social media platforms, and other relevant events.
• Carry out other copy-writing responsibilities, given by the head of sales and marketing and other constituted authority.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a copywriter or related role.
• Knowledge of online content strategy and creation.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing.
• Experience with graphics and web designs.
• Strong research skills.
• Creativity, adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Exceptional skill with the nuances of social media writing including using hashtags, emojis and acronyms.
