    Head, Business Solutions-Insurance & Asset Management

    Job Description

    • This role is responsible for establishing and leading the Product and Solutioning function within Insurance and Asset Management (IAM), ensuring alignment with customer acquisition and retention strategies while driving sustainable financial growth. The position holds end-to-end accountability for financial outcomes across Insurance, Investments, and Asset Management, and plays a pivotal role in cultivating strategic partnerships with group entities such as SBGS, Liberty, and Heritage, as well as external third-party collaborators.
    • A key mandate of the role is to foster seamless collaboration between Liberty and Stanbic to deliver integrated financial services. This requires strategic thought leadership, platform innovation, and a deep understanding of digital ecosystems to enhance customer value and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in data-driven decision-making and innovation, with proven experience in leveraging analytics, emerging technologies, and customer insights to design and implement impactful solutions. They will be customer-centric, commercially astute, and thrive in dynamic, high-stakes environments proactively identifying business opportunities and translating them into scalable, tech-enabled offerings that support the organization's growth and transformation agenda.

    Qualifications

    Type of Qualification: First Degree
    Field of Study: Business Commerce, Economics, Mathematics and Statistics, Actuarial Science or any other related field.
    Experience Required

    • 8-10 years
    • Proven track record of delivery in a senior product, financial and risk management capacity through innovative technology driven platforms.
    • Proven track record of interpreting and practicing integrated product, financial and risk management principles.
    • Experience in process re-engineering and change management.
    • Proven track record of management of financial objectives, both value creation and cost reduction.
    • Experience in managing ROE targets taking into account profitability measures and capital.

    Manager, Global Markets, Sales (Investments)

    Job Description

    • To manage a client portfolio through the cultivation of strong, enduring relationships, delivering trusted, sector-specific treasury guidance, and offering tailored investment solutions that align with client needs and enhance their overall experience. Additionally, to maximize cross-selling opportunities and drive portfolio investment sales revenue in accordance with the Retail business’s sales strategy, while adhering to defined risk parameters and regulatory standards.
    • Manage proposals, pitches, contract negotiations, and deal amendments to grow the overall regional portfolio. Work closely with Client Execution and Trading Desks to assist in all aspects of deal execution including market and financial due diligence, providing structured pricing, ensuring fair spreads and maximum value to clients, to achieve targets, manage risk and deliver exceptional client experience. 
    • Lead development and maintenance of an investments client database. Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify and manage client retention, lost clients and year-on-year revenue and turnover variances. Prepare and submit client portfolio reports to drive informed decision-making. Reduce portfolio concentration risk by diversifying revenue, clients and products where applicable. 
    • Stay abreast of news, developments, research and insights on the client portfolio, market conditions, regulatory environment, competitors and client base (e.g. existing and potential), to ensure relevant amendments to plans and targets.

    Qualifications

    • Type of Qualification: First Degree
    • Field of Study:  Business Commerce, Finance, Economics or any other relevant field.
    • Professional Certification: ACI dealing Certificate

    Experience Required

    • 5-7 years
    • Seasoned experience in client relationship management with a demonstrated track record applying judgement, best practice and business knowledge to solve complex problems and improve processes.
    • Demonstration of advanced communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style based on the target audience.
    • Experience planning for self and team in line with defined objectives to achieve sales targets.
    • Experience in continuously monitoring client portfolios, market conditions, regulatory changes, competitor activity, and client insights to inform strategic adjustments to business plans and targets. Proven ability to leverage research and market intelligence to ensure responsiveness and relevance in client engagement and investment planning
    • Experience in financial markets and multi-asset class investments, with a strong ability to analyze market trends and deliver tailored investment solutions across asset classes sand structured products.
