    Sales Account Manager – Hotel Industry

    Job Description

    • The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining a robust client base, managing key accounts, and developing strategic sales initiatives to boost hotel occupancy and revenue. They will serve as the face of the hotel to corporate clients, travel agents, and event organizers, ensuring superior client satisfaction and loyalty.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
    • Identify new business opportunities within the hospitality and corporate sectors.
    • Manage and grow existing client accounts through excellent service and communication.
    • Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and hotel site inspections.
    • Negotiate contracts, prepare proposals, and close deals with clients.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotions and brand awareness campaigns.
    • Provide timely market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
    • Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and client data on the CRM system.
    • Represent the hotel at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows.
    • Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role exclusively within the hotel industry.
    • Proven success in account management, client acquisition, and revenue generation in hospitality.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field.
    • Strong network of corporate, travel trade, or MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) clients is a plus.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Self-driven, highly organized, and target-oriented.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

    Sales Manager – Hotel Industry

    Position Summary

    • The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to increase hotel occupancy, grow revenues from corporate and individual clients, and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and other strategic partners. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the hospitality market in Nairobi and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with the hotel’s revenue goals.
    • Lead the sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual targets.
    • Manage corporate accounts and identify new business opportunities.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, travel agencies, and event organizers.
    • Conduct regular market analysis and competitor benchmarking.
    • Plan and oversee promotional events, marketing campaigns, and networking activities.
    • Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management.
    • Collaborate with the operations and reservations teams to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
    • Monitor customer feedback and address concerns promptly to maintain a positive brand image.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales role within the hotel industry.
    • Must have worked consistently in the hotel/hospitality sector throughout their career.
    • Strong understanding of the Nairobi hospitality market and customer behavior.
    • Proven ability to develop and close business deals with corporate and individual clients.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Proficiency in sales CRM software and MS Office applications.
