    Accountant - (FMCG, SAGE Experience)

    The Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The role requires strong expertise in the FMCG sector and hands-on experience with SAGE accounting software to support efficient financial management and decision-making

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Accounting & Reporting

    • Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports in line with company policies and IFRS standards.
    • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and supplier/customer accounts.

    Accounts Payable & Receivable

    • Oversee invoicing, collections, and supplier payments.
    • Ensure credit control and timely debt recovery.
    • Monitor aging reports and resolve discrepancies.

    Budgeting & Forecasting

    • Assist in preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Track variances and provide analysis to support business decisions.

    Cost Management (FMCG Focus)

    • Monitor inventory costing and stock reconciliations.
    • Track sales, margins, and distribution expenses.
    • Conduct cost analysis to improve efficiency in supply chain and distribution.

    Compliance & Audit

    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (tax, VAT, PAYE, etc.).
    • Support both internal and external audit processes.
    • Maintain proper documentation and internal controls.

    SAGE Accounting

    • Manage financial transactions and reporting within SAGE.
    • Train and support team members on effective SAGE usage.
    • Generate real-time reports to support management decision-making.

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • CPA (K)/ACCA qualification (or equivalent) is required.
    • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in FMCG.
    • Proven working knowledge of SAGE Accounting Software (mandatory).
    • Strong understanding of IFRS, tax laws, and financial best practices.

    Business Development Manager - Power Systems, HVAC & Infrastructure

    The Business Development Manager will spearhead the company’s market entry and growth strategy in Uganda, focusing on power systems, HVAC, and infrastructure sectors. The role involves building and nurturing strategic relationships, driving sales growth, identifying opportunities in both the government and private sector, and ensuring successful execution of projects through tendering, bidding, and contract negotiations.

    Key Responsibilities
    Business Development & Market Entry

    • Spearhead market entry initiatives and establish the company’s presence in Uganda.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in power systems, HVAC, and infrastructure sectors.
    • Build a robust pipeline of government and private sector projects.

    Relationship Management

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, private sector companies, and industry players.
    • Represent the company at industry forums, trade fairs, and networking events.

    Market Research & Strategy

    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
    • Provide strategic insights to management to shape business strategy and decision-making.

    Sales & Growth

    • Drive sales growth by expanding existing accounts and acquiring new clients.
    • Develop and execute business development plans aligned with company objectives.

    Solutions Development

    • Collaborate with internal technical teams to design and present tailored solutions that meet client requirements.
    • Ensure proposals are competitive, innovative, and aligned with industry standards.

    Tendering, Bidding & Contract Management

    • Lead tendering and bidding processes for government and private projects.
    • Ensure compliance with client requirements, legal frameworks, and company policies.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation for the company.

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage).
    • 5–7 years of experience in business development, operations, or related roles in the energy, power systems, HVAC, or infrastructure sectors, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • Strong understanding of Uganda’s power systems, HVAC, and infrastructure sectors, including regulatory requirements and market dynamics.
    • Proven track record in sales growth, market entry, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Familiarity with renewable energy, smart grid technologies, or electrical system integration is a plus.
