    Principal RTI Officers

    Key Responsibilities

     Assist the Head of the RTI Division to:

    • Supervise the work of RTI Officers within their cluster;
    • Provide technical backstopping to RTI Officers within their cluster;
    • Monitor and ensure quality assurance in service delivery;
    • Produce monthly reports on assigned areas of work for the attention of the Divisional Director.

    Qualification Required & Experience

    • A minimum of a Master’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution in any of the following fields:
    •  Communications Studies,
    •  Information Studies and
    •  Public Administration.
    • A minimum of ten (10) years of post-qualification, relevant work experience in a reputable organisation
    • Additional degree in LLB will be an added advantage

    RTI Divisional Director

    Key Responsibilities

    •  Lead and direct the RTI Officers to execute the provisions under the RTI law;
    •  Provide training for RTI Officers nationwide;
    •  Co-ordinate, monitor and evaluate the performance and operations of RTI Officers nationwide;
    •  Monitor and produce monthly reports on the implementation of the RTI law for the consideration of the Information Minister
    •  Liaise with heads of public institutions to address challenges and resolve matters that affect and defeat the effective operations of the RTI Units;
    •  Provide legal advice for the Information Minister on emerging issues relating to the operations of the RTI law,

    Qualification Required & Experience

    • A minimum of a Master’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution in any of the following fields:
    •  Communications Studies,
    •  Information Studies and
    •  Public Administration.
    • A minimum of ten (10) years of post-qualification, relevant work experience in a reputable organisation
