    Baker Interns

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparing and baking various pastries, breads and other baked goods.
    • Follow recipes and maintain food quality standards and hygiene practices.
    • Support the baking team in daily kitchen operations including ingredient preparation and inventory checks.
    • Learn and apply food safety regulations and kitchen protocols.
    • Contribute to the development of new bakery items under supervision.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstations.

    Qualifications

    • Recent graduate in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food & Beverage or a related field.
    • Passion for baking with a willingness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen setting.
    • Basic knowledge of baking tools, ingredients and equipment.
    • Excellent attention to detail, teamwork and communication skills.
    • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
    • Previous internship or attachment in a bakery or kitchen environment will be an added advantage.

    Pastry Chef De Partie

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, breads and other baked goods daily.
    • Ensure high standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained.
    • Assist in menu planning, costing and creating new dessert offerings.
    • Manage mise en place and ensure efficient pastry section operations.
    • Maintain inventory of baking supplies and place orders when necessary.
    • Train and supervise junior staff in the pastry section.
    • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and quality service.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Bakery or Pastry from a recognized institution.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie in a reputable hotel or bakery.
    • Excellent knowledge of pastry techniques and baking processes.
    • Creative mindset with attention to detail in presentation.
    • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills
