    Umbapay Direct Sales Representatives

    Key Responsibilities
    Sales & Target Achievement

    • Achieve or exceed monthly loan disbursement and revenue objectives.
    • Execute effective sales activities in the field to drive loan uptake and client acquisition.
    • Track personal performance against set KPIs and work with the team lead to address any performance gaps.

    Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

    • Prospect and onboard new clients through direct sales, referrals, and market activations.
    • Guide clients through Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) requirements.
    • Clearly communicate Umbapay’s financing solutions and value proposition to potential clients.
    • Build long-term client relationships to support retention, repeat business, and referrals.

    Loan Application Support & Credit Facilitation

    • Assist clients with loan applications and ensure accurate documentation is submitted.
    • Provide guidance to clients on loan terms, repayment obligations, and product use.

    Portfolio Management & Loan Recovery

    • Monitor repayment schedules for assigned clients and follow up to ensure timely payments.
    • Engage with clients experiencing repayment challenges and escalate cases as needed.
    • Collaborate with the collections team on overdue accounts to reduce portfolio at risk (PAR).

    Compliance & Reporting

    • Ensure all client interactions and loan applications comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.
    • Maintain accurate client records, loan files, and sales activity reports.
    • Submit timely and accurate reports on sales performance and client engagement.

    Market Engagement

    • Stay updated on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
    • Identify new opportunities and provide feedback to the team lead to improve sales strategies.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Diploma in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
    • At least 1–3 years in sales, banking, microfinance, or financial services.
    • Experience in field sales or B2B client acquisition is highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales/loan targets.
    • knowledge of credit products, risk assessment, and loan processes.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently in the field and deliver results under minimal supervision

    Deposit Mobilization Relationship Officer

    Key Responsibilities
    Deposit Mobilization

    • Develop and implement strategies to attract new depositors and retain existing clients.
    • Achieve monthly and annual deposit mobilization targets as set by management.
    • Promote UMBA’s savings, fixed deposit, and investment products to individuals, groups, SMEs, and institutions.

    Client Relationship Management

    • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients through proactive engagement andexcellent service.
    • Conduct regular client visits, meetings, and financial education forums to increaseawareness of UMBA’s products.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key deposit clients and respond to queries in atimely manner.

    Business Development and Marketing

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory/portfolio.
    • Develop partnerships with SACCOs, Chamas, schools, churches, and corporates togenerate deposits.
    • Organize and participate in marketing campaigns, community outreach programs, andproduct launches.

    Compliance and Risk Management

    • Ensure all deposit mobilization activities comply with UMBA Microfinance’s policies, CBK regulations, and AML/CFT requirements.
    • Monitor client accounts to ensure adherence to KYC, due diligence, and anti-fraud standards.
    • Prepare accurate reports on deposit mobilization performance, pipeline clients, andmarket intelligence.

    Reporting and Performance Tracking

    • Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on deposit mobilization activities and achievements.
    • Track personal and branch targets, providing input to management on opportunities and challenges.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in deposit mobilization, relationship management, orbusiness development in a financial institution (microfinance, SACCO, or bank).
    • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales/target goals.
    • Familiarity with digital financial services and innovative savings products will be an added advantage.
