    Laboratory Technologist

    This role plays a vital part in conducting laboratory tests, analysing clinical specimens, ensuring quality and safety in laboratory processes, and supporting clinicians in informed decision-making. 

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications 

    • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences 
    • Valid registration and membership with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians & Technologists Board (KMLTTB) 
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar healthcare facility 
    • Demonstrated competence in diagnostic testing, laboratory operations, and regulatory compliance 

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on patient samples using approved procedures 
    • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability 
    • Analyze and verify test results, ensuring timely reporting to clinicians 
    • Prepare, label, document, and store specimens appropriately 
    • Adhere to internal and external quality assurance protocols 
    • Maintain accurate records of tests performed, results, and equipment maintenance 
    • Ensure compliance with biosafety standards and proper waste disposal 
    • Monitor laboratory reagent and consumable inventory and report low stock levels 
    • Collaborate closely with clinicians and other healthcare staff to support coordinated patient care 
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Laboratory Technologist In Charge

    Facilities and Services Coordinator

    ​This role is essential in providing high-quality administrative and operational support to ensure effective coordination of non-clinical services, including catering, transport, maintenance, security, housekeeping, and outsourced facility services. The position is key in promoting sustainability, operational excellence, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards within the hospital. 

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements 

    • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Public Administration, or a related field. 
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a comparable institution. 

    Key Competencies 

    • Proficiency in scheduling, documentation, record-keeping, and office coordination. 
    • Knowledge of procurement processes and logistical coordination for facility-related services. 
    • Familiarity with health, safety, and compliance standards, including infection prevention and control. 
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise, and respond proactively. 
    • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. 
    • Knowledge of facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and asset management. 
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset.
