    Tele- Collections Agent

    ​​About the role:

    • Tele collection Agent will work closely with the various stakeholders including; The risk management, sales team and Regional collections managers to serve existing customers who have stopped/delayed making daily/monthly instalments for the units they have purchased on PAYG basis by providing proper, efficient and timely service as per endorsed SLA, and contribute to realization of company’s goals by reducing number of disabled customers and enhance company’s portfolio quality.

    What you would be expected to do:

    • Contact customers to remind them of their outstanding payments, using the available scripts and call guides provided by Sun King.
    • To ensure proper knowledge is provided with a high degree of efficiency to delinquent customers so that they may continue with payments by re-educating them on the key terms of the sale agreement.
    • Negotiate payment arrangements with customers, taking into account their financial situation and the company's policies and procedures.
    • Set up repayment plans and new terms of sale. Record a new covenant to repay debt
    • Verification of clients' KYC details & update account information in the company's collections system, including notes on the customer's payment history and any payment arrangements made.
    • Provide excellent customer service to customers, addressing their questions and concerns in a professional and humane manner.
    • Ensure adherence to the company policies and procedures related to collections, including regulations related to consumer protection practices.
    • Meet or exceed daily and weekly targets for calls made, collections made, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) as defined by the Sun King.
    • Record & escalate any abnormal issues reported by customers during the disabled call down, such as faulty or stolen, or repossessed products, suspected fraud cases, etc 
    • Utilize computer systems to handle skip tracing

    You would be a strong candidate if you:

    • Possess a diploma/degree in a business-related field(E.g. Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline).
    • Are fluent in English and Swahili speaking.
    • Have proven experience as a Collection representative or relevant role.
    • Are knowledgeable about MS Office Suite.
    • Possess excellent communication skills & problem-solving skills.
    • Are a team player, Fast learner, and Vibrates positivity. 
    • Have patience, tenacity, and persuasiveness.
    • Demonstrate excellent time management and Shift flexibility.
    • Have additional training/certificate in Credit Management. Debt collection& Recovery, Negotiation & conflict resolution, or customer relationship management(CRM). 
    • Are experienced with analytical tools (added advantage).

    Agent Welfare Lead - ESA

    About the role

    The Agent Welfare Lead for East and Southern Africa at Sun King will provide strategic guidance to the Agent Welfare Associates, ensuring alignment with HR and broader company goals. The role will ensure the collation and review of agent and field data to uncover root causes of issues and areas for improvement, as well as the preparation of monthly and quarterly dashboards for HR, sales, and business stakeholders. 
    These insights will highlight incident prevalence and potential risks, while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure corrective action plans are developed and implemented across departments.

    What you will be expected to do:

    Strategic Guidance and Team Enablement

    • Provide strategic direction and people-focused guidance to Agent Welfare Associates, ensuring activities align with HR and overall company priorities.
    • Foster a team-based and enabling environment that encourages professional development and continuous improvement.

    Data Collation and Insights

    • Oversee the collection and thorough review of agent and field data to identify root causes of issues and recurring areas of concern.
    • Develop and apply insight-led approaches to address identified issues, strengthening continuous improvement in agent welfare.

    Dashboard Preparation and Reporting

    • Prepare clear monthly and quarterly dashboards for HR, sales, and business stakeholder teams.
    • Highlight key metrics, incident prevalence, risks, and trends to provide practical insights and guide informed actions.

    Cross-Functional Coordination

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, sales, operations, and other relevant functions, to ensure strong alignment on agent welfare initiatives.
    • Facilitate the development and implementation of corrective action plans that enhance agent welfare across departments.

    Incident Management and Risk Reduction

    • Monitor and report on incident prevalence and potential risks related to agent welfare, ensuring timely identification and follow-up.
    • Put in place proactive measures to reduce risk and strengthen the overall welfare and satisfaction of agents.

    Policy and Procedure Development

    • Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of policies and procedures related to agent welfare, ensuring they are clear, current, and well communicated.
    • Ensure alignment with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements across all agent welfare activities.

    You might be a strong candidate if you have:

    • At least 5 years of professional experience in human resources management, with a strong focus on employee welfare, relations, and engagement.
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience guiding or coordinating a team.
    • A professional certification or degree in HR Management.
    • Strong data interpretation and strategic thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

    Knowledge Associate

    About the role:

    • The role holder is in charge of assisting the organization’s learning and development operations through effective knowledge management, learning system administration, and training quality assurance. This role ensures that training delivered across country regions meets the organization’s standards. Through virtual audits and content management, the role upholds quality, accuracy, and uniformity in all training materials and delivery methods. The Knowledge Associate key deliverable will be ensuring classroom training quality standards, managing LMS operations, maintaining and updating of our digital Library.

    What you would be expected to do:

    • Conduct virtual audits on training videos submitted by regional mentors.
    • Process learners activation and deactivation requests on our LMS platform.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely execution of all LMS requests.
    • Manage and resolve user reported issues related to the Litmos learning platform.
    • Conduct and report on training effectiveness surveys twice per month, as per country-level activities.
    • Update our Digital Learning Library monthly with all new training materials deployed.

    You might be a strong candidate if you:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Organizational Development, or related field. Equivalent media/ communication  higher degree can also be considered
    • Strong comprehension of administrative management of learning management system
    • 3+ years of experience in training, learning & development, or knowledge management (regional/multi country experience an advantage).
    • Experience with digital tools, CRM systems, and e-learning platforms.
