    Shipping Exports Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the teams handling Sea Export out of Kenya.
    • Keep the team informed of the changes/evolutions & communicate the necessary internal alignments, objectives (objectives given by top management)
    • Evaluate the subordinates performance
    • develop the skills of the employees
    • Implement good conditions (procedure) of the case transfer in case of organization changes within the team.
    • Ensure the new incoming staff policy is in place as well the training.
    • Define and control absences.
    • Build the MO organization, expertise, the means and ensure the standard process are in place
    • Ensure the organization, the expertise and the means are in line with the objectives given by the Manager
    • Regularly review the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and ensure alignment to serve customers.
    • Control the implementation of the SOP by MO team, Quality audit (internal and external) and by continually monitoring it against the approved action plan.
    • Coordinate & Monitor  Operations
    • Monitor the quality of service provided to the clients (internal as well external) and take appropriate action to achieve the service the clients are paying for. 
    • Control and Manage the risks
    • Ensure the risk control framework (process, team, training…) is in place.
    • Implement all actions to ensure minimal extra/ additional charge exposure
    • Ensure our agreed contractual KPIs with the clients and internal KPIs are met
    • Implement all actions to ensure minimal disbursements exposure (compliance classification procedures, application of proper billing and expenses posting to the files...) and manage the risk (focus on debit).
    • Assist the customer disputes process in coordination with the Front Office and Back Office (Legal, Insurance) and implement actions to neutralize the repetition of root causes.
    • Ensure the proper insurance cover, of our services including our own means or contracted, is in place with the Back-Office support (Insurance).Inform Management
    • Identify critical customers (cargo nature, volumes, financial position, key account ...) and put in place the conditions for a specific operations monitoring as appropriate.
    • Collect the information relating to risks Operation (including customs issues) and provide a monthly summary to the Manager.
    • Prepare and communicate a monthly report to the Manager  regarding the performance of the department and the outlook for coming months, taking into account market forces (customers, competitors ...)

    Requirements

    • Business Degree
    • Diploma in Clearing & Freight Forwarding or related field

    Experience

    • 5 years in a busy C & F company handling Sea Export & 1 year in a managerial role

    Fleet Operations Manager- Kilifi

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage day-to-day haulage and mining activities including breaking, loading, stockpiling, and transportation.
    • Ensure truck utilization, fuel efficiency, tyre life, and tonnage targets (3,500 tons/day) are met.
    • Coordinate with workshop and operations teams to maximize uptime.
    • Implement and monitor planned preventive maintenance and HSE standards.
    • Train, develop, and motivate staff for operational excellence.
    • Collaborate with management teams (GM, Finance, HR, Procurement, Safety) for smooth operations.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Engineering (mining/haulage focus).
    • Certification in Supply Chain Management; Business Diploma an advantage.
    • 5+ years’ experience in mining operations (limestone preferred).
    • Strong knowledge of fleet and mining equipment operations.
    • Experience in fleet policies, maintenance coordination, and problem-solving.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
