    Chief Engineer / Senior Engineering Manager

    Job Description

    TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Managing the production process.
    • Preparing reports on the production budget: daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly.
    • Overseeing allocation of staff for each cycle of production.
    • Preparing production reports and maintain stock of finished and raw materials
    • Managing the cost of production for efficiency
    • Ensuring the proper maintenance of all equipment
    • Liaising with other departments such as procurement, HR, Sales & Marketing etc.
    • Working with senior managers to implement the company policies and goals
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies - NEMA, EPZA, Waste Management Authority, County council 

    REQUIREMENTS

    • You have experience managing the construction and assembly of a complex factory through to commissioning. 
    • You have detailed experience and understanding of engineering project development process such as preliminary design reviews, final reviews, requirements generation and management from design to completed project
    • You drive innovation, sustain global best practices, originate and manage upgrades, additional automation to boost efficiency, designing and see small ‘one off’ projects to completion.
    • You consistently meet your schedule and budget deadlines and deliver quality results on time and complete. 
    • You manage equipment sourcing, importation and allied details. 

    QUALIFICATIONS / KEY SKILLS

    Chemical engineering experience and/or experience with a multinational firm will be an added advantage. You will report to the CEO, be a key member of the management team and all the engineering staff would report to you. 

    Applicants with a Master’s degree in engineering and at least ten years’ experience in a complex engineering business are encouraged to apply.
