Responsibilities of Accounts Executive

• Producing cost plans, providing cost advice, undertaking procurement activities and carryout post contract cost control.
• Develop and maintain project cost spreadsheets to cover direct and indirect project costs and materials Work with Project Manager to develop actuals, report on variances, and reforecast as necessary.
• Analyse budget against actuals and produce monthly reports for cost control meetings
• Manages all cost relating to building and civil engineering projects to be undertaken from the initial calculations to the final figures.
• Advise on a procurement strategy;
• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risk
• Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly
• Assist to procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project, measure and value the work done on site and recommend payment to contractors
• Prepares construction budget by studying home plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation
• Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
• Provide timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as finance and marketing
• Any other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

• A first degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a business-related discipline
• Minimum of four (4) years of working in financial accounting with at least two (2) years of financial analysis.
• A Chartered Accountant status, good, but not compulsory, provided you have proven financial analysis experiences would be considered.

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools especially Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet set deadlines.
