    Area Sales Executive

    Reports to: Area Sales Manager

    Job brief

    Support our sales & marketing team in achieving sales target whiles increasing the depth and width of distribution in Takoradi.

    Responsibilities

    1. Generate potential leads and mop up orders with existing customers.
    2. Conduct and achieve periodic assigned sales target.
    3. Embark on regular market visits to check route coverage, competitor activities and continuously search for new opportunities in order to increase sales.
    4. Timely preparation and submission of market report to Area Sales Manager.
    5. Update distributors with new company policies.
    6. Create and maintain a professional relationship with customers and distributors.
    7. Liaise with our Accounts and Logistics department for payment documents, supply of products and smooth delivery of products to customers.
    8. Attend to all customers feedback and report to Area Sales Manager.
    9. Increase the depth and width of distribution by increasing the number of both retail, wholesale and distribution outlets.
    10. Prompt and timely settlement of Key Distributors claims.
    11. Conduct retail census whilst focusing on modern retails and institutions along with general trade.
    12. Maintain effective utilization of POP materials.

    3. Ability to meet set targets and deadlines.

    · Technical Competence

    1. Ability to conduct market research on sale/marketing coverage and competitors’ activities and make a report.
    2. Ability to generate potential leads and mop up orders with existing customers.

    1. Team Player.
    2. Good communicator.
    3. Ability to resolve conflicts.
    4. Honesty.

    Requirements

    1. A bachelors degree in Marketing or any related field.
    2. A minimum of 4 years’ experience in sales preferably field sales in FMCG sector. Experience in field sales of Soap or Detergent product will be an advantage.
    3. Good command over spoken and written English. Ability to communicate in respective local languages will be an advantage.
    4. Proficient in IT - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    5. Must possess excellent salesman skills.
    6. Candidate must live in Takoradi.
