WEC is looking for an experienced Business Application Support (BAS) Supervisor. The BAS Team Supervisor will provide the SAP Business Process Owners and SAP End-Users with timely guidance, assistance, training, monitoring, and coordination to ensure productive use of the business processes in the FICO, MM, Fixed Assets, HCM, Production, and Workflow modules.
As the superuser, the BAS will assist the finance and commercial teams with continuously improving the relevant business processes, generating system reports, and ensuring compliance with the WEC SAP ITGC framework.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Successful quarterly/ yearly SAP ITGC reviews
- Successful System Compliance Audits about SAP controls
- Users' rightful access to SAP for operational purposes
- Functional User access to SAP platform and Required Roles
- Timely Assistance during Monthly, Quarterly, Year End financial reporting
- Detection and Correction of unauthorized access to system and roles
- Adequate training to users for functional roles required
- Availability of relevant and proper SAP user materials
- Users' adherence to WEC's Delegation of Authority framework about approval authorizations and limits as set up in the SAP system
- Establish a working ITGC risk register and review it quarterly
Primary Responsibilities
The BAS Supervisor's primary responsibilities:
- Provide all SAP end users with appropriate SAP support and assistance to optimize the usage of the business applications
- EnsurePlease makes sure continuous business improvement according to customer requirements. Customers include the relevant Business Process Owners.
- guidance for developing, updating, and managing the relevant SAP master data and transactional data procedures about the SAP modules, which the Super User is responsible for
- standardize, edit, and collect relevant master data in SAP
- analyze system and business process issues and recommend solutions
- review the end user access and authorizations, report irregularities and recommend corrective actions.
- ensure SAP end-user queries are appropriately addressed and rectified
- Required to assist with the roll-out of SAP-B1 to other countries as they come on board
- implement the relevant monitoring processes in SAP for measuring the performance of the relevant business processes. Includes providing relevant reports and recommended actions to the User Group and management.
- ensure WEC business process policies are adhered to in terms of the SAP application
- perform SAP user training needs analysis and provide ongoing training to users as per training needs
- develop relevant training materials
- develop SAP knowledge and skills for identified Power Users for various modules
- act as a consultant to heads of departments on matters affecting SAP and assist their departments in the write-up of and review of work
- procedures.
- responsible for logging and managing calls with the relevant external SAP Support Consulting firm
- responsible for providing inputs to the Kabeer Consultants and any external teams on matters pertinent to the SAP application in SAP FICO, HCM MM &PM
- assist in knowledge sharing regarding the application of SAP between all the Operational Sites
- be the Custodian of WEC SAP ITG controls and must ensure all rules work effectively and Managers apply the framework set out in the ITGC control document.

- The geographic scope of the appointment is for all WEC operations in Ghana and other countries in which WEC has operations
- The SAP modules in the area for this role are: Financials & Controlling, Fixed Assets, Human Capital Management, Materials Management, Production and Workflow
Skills & Competencies Required
Educational and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (Specialization in Database management)
- Versatility in Programming and software utilization
- SAP Consulting certificate in FICO/HCM is an advantage
Other Skills Required:
- Programming languages such as ABAP (Advanced Business Application programming)
- Knowledgeable in SAP and implementation from Development and testing to go-live and post-go-live management
- Systems and Information technology
- Primary computer and MS Office knowledge
