    Call for Consultancy: Support WWF Country Offices With Resource Acquisition Strategic Planning in the Framework of Office Strategic Plans

    Key Activities

    Support to Country Office Strategic Planning Process

    • Conduct physical/virtual working sessions with senior leadership teams and focal points to collect and analyze data on planned thematic and programmatic interventions.
    • Support country teams in the costing of the OSP by thematic/programmatic area to ensure alignment with donor priorities.
    • Ensure that resource acquisition components are systematically structured and reflect the high-quality standards set by WWF.

    Support in Developing Country Office Resource Acquisition Plans

    • Assist country offices in drafting resource acquisition plans that outline processes, timelines, and key stakeholders for fundraising.
    • Conduct a donor deep dive for each country, identifying relevant bilateral, multilateral, foundation, and private sector donors.
    • Develop a donor engagement strategy for each country office based on historical funding trends and alignment with WWF’s priorities.

    Consolidation and Standardization of Resource Acquisition Information

    • Ensure a systematic approach in structuring resource acquisition sections across all OSPs.
    • Provide guidance to country offices on aligning their resource acquisition strategies with WWF’s global and regional priorities.
    • Ensure high-quality outputs that include all critical components required by WWF guidelines.

    Recommendation Report

    • Develop a comprehensive report covering:
    • Funding feasibility assessment and costing of country office strategic plans.
    • A country-specific donor deep dive identifying key donors aligned with the OSP.
    • An overview of donor funding mechanisms, cycles, and engagement strategies.
    • A mapping of potential partners who align with the country office’s funding strategies.

    Key Deliverables

    • Country Office Support Report: Actions taken in collaboration with country offices to conduct feasibility analysis and OSP costing.
    • Draft Country Office Resource Acquisition Plans: Action plans and sustainability analysis in collaboration with country teams.
    • Donor Mapping Matrix: A structured document summarizing identified donors, their funding priorities, and alignment with WWF initiatives.
    • Donor Identification Report: Key PSP and non-PSP big-ticket donors, including funding trends, process insights, and strategic engagement recommendations.

    Qualifications

    Required Experience

    • Proven experience in non-profit management, environmental management, sustainable development, international development, project management, public policy, or a related discipline.
    • Proven expertise in regional and country-office fundraising, particularly for conservation and sustainable development organizations in Eastern and Southern Africa.
    • Strong understanding of global official development assistance (ODA) flows and donor funding mechanisms.
    • Demonstrated experience working with INGOs, government agencies, or multilateral organizations on similar assignments.
