Job Responsibilities
Follows standard safety precautions, adheres to instructions when using power tools, wears recommended protective equipment such as goggles, hearing protectors and/or work gloves;
Maintain a schedule of regular blocks visiting;
Maintain and improve the integrity of the Campus's buildings and facilities;
Maintain the workshop and have an inventory of the carpentry equipment;
Participate in the execution of routine maintenance schedules for carpentry on campus;
Performs and completes a variety of carpentry tasks with quality workmanship to construct, maintain, repair, or modify buildings or facilities;
Performs spot checks on equipment to ensure proper working conditions, services tools and equipment as needed and return damaged items for repair or replacement;
Regular checking of University furniture and report any defect for repair;
Safely and efficiently operates a variety of power and hand tools to complete jobs accurately and to specifications: such tools may include hammers, saws, drills, planers and mortising machines;
