The mission is to work directly with the Co-founder/CEO to develop Oze’s strategy, run special projects, attract resources to the company, and execute on the vision of the company.
Responsibilities
Act as a thought partner and provide operational support to the CEO
Provide senior leaders with insight and analysis on the company’s operations.
Identify and help to solve core problems or opportunities within business processes.
Manage the collection of leadership memos and preparation of the weekly leadership meeting agenda, deck and meeting notes.
Provide a contrarian view, push back when data or instincts disagree with the strategy, be a voice asking us to do more.
Lead special projects that test the water for new strategies and scale up what we already know works.
Oversee projects from ideation to implementation to iteration and/or scale.
Support prioritization of special projects considering weighing cost and impact.
Measure the impact on the business of new initiatives and make recommendations for a path forward.
Projects could include the roll out of a new product feature, testing a business model, testing a new growth strategy, opening a new market, developing partnerships, etc.
Support teams across Oze to drive their outcomes to achieve company-wide and department level objectives and key results.
Support the executive team in effectively communicating company strategy to all stakeholders
Provide tactical support to implement ideas within teams.
Be relentless when it comes to setting and achieving time lines.
Be a second-mind and extra set of hands to support data-driven and experiment-driven decisions.
Help with coordination on multi-team / multi-market projects
Partner with the CEO to manage investor relations and raise our Series A.
Lead the collection and presentation of data for monthly investor updates and board meetings.
Work with senior leaders to set the business plan for the series A.
Prepare the financial model for the fundraise.
Lead analysis on core KPIs for pitch decks.
Who Are You?
Passion for solving problems that face small business owners in Africa.
3+ years of experience in consulting, startup business operations, investment banking, or venture capital.
A reputation for getting stuff done!
Self starter who is able to create their own work plan to achieve a goal with minimal supervision.
Ability to manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, and multiple projects concurrently.
Superb verbal and oral communication skills and analytical capacity.
Experience building financial models with minimal data.
