Computer Lab Technician at Catholic University of Eastern Africa

We wish to recruit a dynamic, qualied and result-oriented person to ll the following position:

Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Head of Department Computer and Information Science.

Duties And Responsibilities

1. Ensure lab accessibility by lecturers and students;
2. Undertake regular proactive maintenance of computers and other accessories;
3. Maintain a daily log-in-log-out register of who uses the lab;
4. Install and maintain an up-to-date software in the labs;
5. Implement any changes as may be advised by the HoD;
6. Implement and maintain network and Internet connection;
7. Perform any other duties as assigned by the HoD.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Competences:

1. Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or its equivalent;
2. Should have at least one (1) year experience as a Computer Lab Technician;
3. Hardware certification course such as A+.CCT, Server+;
4. Must be a team player;
5. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills;
6. Must be a person of integrity; morally upright and mature;
7. Must be able to work under minimum supervision;
8. He/she should be flexible and adaptable enough to work in a multicultural environment.
