Crane Operator at Safal Group

Overall Purpose of the Position

The position involves operating a crane to handle paints, backer and primer inventory while also assisting with general store operations, including stock receipt, stores arrangement, Stock rotation, and paints issuance to Operations.

 Key Performance Areas

• Safely operate crane to lift, move, and position heavy paint containers and supplies.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory using crane equipment.
• Receive and store paint stock batchwise
• Organize and label paints for easy identification.
• Paint issuance to production as per the plan and ensure adherence to FIFO/ FEFO policy to avoid product expiries.
• Manage return of production pain reject as per the Mabati Rolling Mills process
• Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the paint stores.
• Attend daily tier 1 meeting with Colour Coating Line team to address operational challenges
• Maintain 6S and EHS at the paint store area as per Mabati Rolling Mills standards
• Adhere to Company standards and policies in addition to all regulatory requirements
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations related to crane operations.

 Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum academic qualification: KCSE
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience
• Valid crane operator license
