    Finance and Admin. Assistant

    Job Description

    • Budget Management – Creating and/or reviewing the project budget, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the SRC requirements
    • Cash and Management – Responsible for monthly reconciliation and payments, control and reconcile all working advances to partner national society and project coordinators, follow up with clearance of outstanding working advances to partners and clear balances on a monthly basis
    • Accounting and Bookkeeping – Maintain up-to-date cashbooks, Process invoices, record payments, track expenses etc
    • Audit Management – Assist in organising necessary documentation for annual independent external audits and provide response to the auditor’s reports
    • Logistics Management – Responsible for maintaining and updating the assets register of the PSU in NR and UER and for renewal of vehicle licenses and insurance
    • Statutory Payment – Responsible for filing of statutory deductions e.g. income taxes and taxes withheld to the Ghana Revenue Authority

    Requirement/Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
    • At least 3 years professional experience managing donor-funded projects in international humanitarian & development organisation
    • Knowledge of existing in-country, particularly related to the activities of NGOs.
    • Excellent IT skills particularly in computer-based double-entry accounting system, Microsoft Office Application (i.e Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) etc. experience with banana an added advantage
    • Self-manager and able to plan and manage deadlines
    • A good communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills in English
    • Knowledge of the Red Cross fundamental principles and the Red Cross Movements
    • Cross-cultural sensitivity and good interpersonal skills with experience working in multicultural and multi-national team
