    Human Resources Manager

    The Role Purpose:

    • To manage HR operations, overall objectives and business priorities in support of all British Council teams based in Ghana, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Cameroon.
    • The HR Manager will work to ensure the overall objectives and business priorities, in line with regional and corporate policies are managed.
    • The HR Manager West Africa Cluster will also manage the delivery of a range of agreed HR services to internal customers, lead on and contribute to the agreed HR projects in the cluster and the region.
    • Additionally, the purpose of the HR Manager is to provide British Council staff based in West Africa Cluster with advice and services on a range of HR issues, provide accurate and accessible information and support the achievement of operational goals

    Role Requirements:

    • University degree or equivalent in Business Administration/Human Resource Management from a recognised institution
    • Recognised Human Resources qualification advantageous
    • Proficiency in English – B2 level
    • French desirable 
    • Five (5) years’ progressive experience and track record in HR management
    • Experience and understanding of best practice in HR processes and systems
    • Understanding of relevant areas of HR (Reward, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Performance management, Employee Relations, Labour Law, 'Equality, Diversity and Inclusion' and Business Partnering)
    • Budget management experience desirable
