    Internal Communications Officer

    Description 

    • Responsible for ensuring employees of the Bank are kept informed and motivated.
    • This involves working closely with senior executives to ensure that staff are informed of developments.
    • This requires communicating through several channels such as intranet, email bulletins, social media and regular newsletters. 

    Responsibilities

    • Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior management
    • Support PR strategy
    • Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
    • Research and share relevant industry news/ information
    • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff intranet, monthly magazine or regular email bulletin.
    • Keep staff abreast of progress and answer their questions relevant to management communiques
    • Storyboard or translate ideas to the creative team
    • Develop internal social media channels  to communicate with staff internally
    • Deliver presentations at organisational events, such as staff durbars
    • Draft messages or scripts from/for senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form?
    • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent across all medium
    • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages
    • Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly
    • Mange staff engagements
    • Regularly advise senior executives of organizational/ industry developments

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations
    • 5 years’ experience in similar role
    • Professional qualification from the Institute of Public Relations or the Institute of Marketing
    • Relevant working experience in a similar capacity
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
