    Kitchen and Laundry Technician

    Job Description

    • Report to the Assistant Director of Engineering and Supervisors
    • Ensure that all kitchen equipment are properly maintained and serviced to avoid breakdown.
    • Perform preventive maintenance in Laundry equipment and complies efficiently in order to satisfy and meet guest’s needs.
    • Respond to breakdown of equipment and being available in case of emergency and applying the appropriate action as per Hotel policy and standards.
    • Comply with the Hotel’s health and safety policies and procedures
    • Be able to maintain, modify, troubleshoot and repair electrical and gas kitchen equipment and appliances.
    • Responsible for performing preventive maintenance in kitchen and Laundry equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendation as assigned.
    • Repairing all leaks that may occur in the kitchen and Laundry Equipment
    • Able to work as part of a team
    • Accident prevention and safety.
    • Optimize maintenance costs
    • Comply with all Kempinski company policies.
    • Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.

    Requirement/Skills

    • Technical Certificate or better in Engineering
    • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4/5 star hotel.
    • Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
    • English – excellent oral and written skills
    • Additional language - beneficial
    • Problem Solving & Decision Making skills
    • Be familiar with labour laws and regulations
    • Be familiar with local social insurance policies
    • Administration skills
    • People Oriented
    • Passionate for European luxury
    • Good Communication skills
    • Ability to identify and delegate tasks effectively.
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
    • Applies a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times.
    • Works in a safe, prudent and organised manner.
    • Ability to work independently, thrive under pressure in challenging circumstances and come up with proactive, rational solutions.
    • Ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with hotel staff and clients/vendors.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
