• WEC is currently looking for an experienced Management Accounting Superintendent in Ghana who will be in charge of providing management with regular and ad hoc financial, production, profitability, and management accounting reports.
• The Management Accounting Superintendent will also be expected to provide key inputs for reviewing the business's operations and coming up with strategic business decisions. These reporting schedules will be monitored and assessed based on a management reporting calendar that has been approved.

Responsibilities

• Perform special management financial reports as directed by the Executive Director F/A and CEO.
• Serve as a strategic partner to the business unit managers, assisting with a business strategy in a ‎variety of financial scenarios.
• Run Manage Business Units’ activity and profitability report to promote budget versus actual controls and financial ‎planning.
• Develop budgetary models budget benchmarks and budget savings plans ‎and proposals.
• Develop models to be used in cost-benefit analysis, short- and ‎long-range projections, and forecasts.
• Establish the business unit’s goals and action plans. Monitor and report on progress on existing ‎projects.
• Provide Financial inputs during the bidding process such that WEC becomes competitive in successful bidding for business promotion.
• Prepare training manuals and programs for the costing team to enable them to attain the standards required with the view to promoting the transfer of knowledge and succession planning.
• Be the BTL (Business Team Leader or champion of Ebizframe refinements and/or enhancements in the ERP to achieve the desired management results

Candidate Profile
Skills

• Knowledge of the Engineering & Construction industry including vital statistics of the business units.
• Ability to prepare and supervise the monthly execution of the Company’s annual plans and strategies. Required to know the processes for preparing annual budgets and for individual projects
• Experience with a range of financial analysis and modeling including discounted cash flow, lease ‎versus buy, cost/benefit, valuation, and sensitivity analysis.
• Experience in setting up management and cost accounting reports as and when required by Management. Inherent ability to identify and escalate financial and business concerns to management.
• Good written and oral communication skills, creativity in spreadsheet organisation, and analytical skills.
• Participation in project bidding processes by providing cost inputs as needed.
• Ability to communicate and enforce established finance and accounting standards and approved Standard operating procedures
• Ability to provide costs, income, and profitability forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis and to make recommendations based on the profitability of various projects,

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) in finance, accounting, or a related study and. An MBA or CPA. ‎is preferred.
• Courses and background in Engineering and Project management are an advantage
• 4 to 5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Broadly knowledge in the following areas is relevant:

Financial Reporting

• Cost and management accounting
• Project and Production Management
• Supply chain management with special emphasis on Direct debit POs & related GRN and Prepayment management.
• General Principles of Internal Management Controls
• Knowledge of Finance and costing modules of ERP packages: Ebizframe is an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office products particularly Excel and Powerpoint
• Multi-skilled in cost reporting, payroll costs computations and splitting to various projects, splitting of overheads across project lines, fixed asset capitalization and depreciation calculations, and application of post-Freezone capital allowances
