Reporting to General Manager, Corporate Services, the job holder is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: -

Duties & Responsibilities

• Acquisition of land for energy infrastructure, logistical and related uses through allocation, outright purchase, or leasing. 
• Implementing strategies on management of corporate real estate portfolio for effective execution of company’s objectives and provision of suitable facilities. 
• Facilitating land management and lease administration towards securing company’s rights and interests and managing the obligation of the various land tenures. 
• Administering land use plans and space plans and facilitating sustainable use of company property 
• Diversification of income through letting of surplus real estate and co-locating. 
• Facilitating tenant management, rent collection, and management of common areas.
• Providing guidance and advice on policy, technical and operational issues regarding real estate and construction. 
• Safe custody of property documents and records.
• Processing and managing title deeds.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Minimum relevant experience of twelve (12) years with at least five (4) years in a management role
• Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Estate Management, Property Management and Valuation, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Building or equivalent qualification from recognized institution. 
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Land Economics, Real Estate or equivalent qualification from recognized institution. 
• Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks.
• Membership of the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or Kenya Institute of Planners/Town and County Planners of Kenya.
• Registered Valuer / Estate Agent / Physical Planner.
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
