Photography Specialist at ISM Africa

Job Summary:

The Photography Specialist will be responsible for capturing high-quality images and videos of residential and commercial properties. This role requires a creative eye for real estate photography and videography, as well as experience in creating engaging reels and posts for social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both shooting and editing, with a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Photography & Videography:

• Capture professional, high-resolution photos and videos of properties for marketing purposes.
• Utilize drone photography and videography to enhance property presentations (if applicable).
• Set up and manage lighting, staging, and other necessary equipment to ensure optimal image and video quality.

Video Production & Editing:

• Produce engaging video content, including property tours, highlight reels, and promotional videos.
• Edit videos using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to create polished final products.
• Add graphics, animations, and sound effects to enhance video content.

Social Media Content Creation:

• Create visually appealing reels, stories, and posts tailored for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute social media strategies that increase engagement and reach.
• Schedule and upload content to various social media platforms, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with real estate agents, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality visual content.
• Provide creative input and suggestions to improve the overall visual storytelling and marketing approach.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in real estate photography, videography, and social media marketing.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a photographer and videographer, preferably in the real estate industry.
• Proficiency in using professional photography and videography equipment, including DSLRs, drones, and gimbals.
• Strong video editing skills, with experience using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and their respective content requirements.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and composition.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of post-production processes, including color correction, audio editing, and file management.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with drone photography/videography and obtaining necessary certifications.
• Graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools.
• Understanding of SEO principles as they relate to social media content.
