Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in purchasing and logistics, purchasing and supply, supply chain management
Proven experience as a procurement officer.
Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy and systems
Must be able to multitask
Must have the ability to analyze problems, and strategize for better solutions
Must have the ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
Must have the ability to pay attention to details
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
Must be able to handle confidential matters with discretion and have a strong sense of integrity
Must be goal oriented and organized team player
Must be able to work well with management and staff at all levels
Responsibilities
Develop plans for purchasing equipment and, services and supplies
Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
Maintain records of purchases, pricing and other important information
