Support day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.
Contribute to identifying process improvement opportunities within operational accounting to increase efficiency and minimize errors.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements, and escalate issues when needed.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accurate data and meeting reporting deadlines.
Collaborate with other teams to support smooth financial operations and provide relevant financial data for decision-making.
Help maintain financial systems, ensuring accurate data entry and resolving system-related issues.
Provide support for audit preparations and compliance reviews by ensuring the availability of required documentation.
Maintain a high level of financial accuracy and help team members understand operational procedures.
Be flexible in handling various operational accounting tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
Backing up other members of the accounting unit where necessary.
Carries out other duties, as and when required, assisting with ad hoc projects and tasks as requested by the Head, of Accounting.
PROFILE
Required Qualifications.
A university degree in finance/accounting or minimum a commercial diploma or equivalent, possibly with an emphasis on Accounting and Finance (e.g. “Handelsakademie”, commercial school, Bachelor Economics / Accounting);
A minimum of five years’ experience in finance & administration in a multi-cultural environment.
