    Supply Chain Director

    The Opportunity

    • Work in a dynamic environment to make a meaningful impact by overseeing the supply chain operations of the company. You will take care of purchasing raw materials, manage inventory, keep in contact with vendors, and arrange the distribution and shipping of finished products across the agricultural value chain for all stakeholders on the Complete Farmer platform. You would be working with the Vendor Product Team and will report to the Director of the Vendor Product.

    About your role on the team

    • As a director of supply chain management, you will analyse the performance data of the workflow to understand shortcomings and propose improvements wherever necessary. You will forecast inventory needs and production schedules and create strategies to improve the production and quality of goods on the Complete Farmer platform. The supply chain director's overall job is to oversee all supply and distribution matters. He / She would be in charge of monitoring the movement of goods and services. They also ensure that things are delivered on schedule, in good condition, and at a reasonable rate. Supply chain directors may also manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance standards.
    • You will need extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management to fill this role. You will be working with departments such as sales, customer service, and operations, so you need excellent organizational and communication skills. You will need to be a critical thinker and an avid problem solver as well, all of which are qualities of a good leader.

    Your Contribution

    • Develop and implement strategies to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.
    • Utilize data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirement across the organization.
    • Develops sources for procuring supplies, services, and equipment by attending demonstrations, contacting vendors; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies and trade fairs.
    • Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the fulfilment canters.
    • Identifying optimal shipment and transportation routes, inventory management systems and supply chain solutions with attention to consolidation of warehousing and fulfilment canters across different operational markets.
    • Develops policies and processes to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
    • Develops product development and implementation roadmaps for the Complete Farmer Vendor business unit to ensure customer and business satisfaction.
    • Analyses current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
    • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain to operate the company’s business model.
    • Managing a team of supply chain managers, coordinators, and specialists who are responsible for planning and executing supply chain activities
    • Grows the supplier database by creating alliances with distributors.
    • Implementing new technologies to improve efficiency in the supply chain process
    • Establishing partnerships with suppliers and other business partners to develop new products or improve existing products
    • Developing annual budgets and long-term strategic plans, including capital expenditures and labour needs
    • Reviewing reports regarding inventory levels and pricing strategies to ensure efficient use of resources

    To succeed you must…..

    • Have a Master’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Production Engineering, Operations management, Logistics or a related field.
    • Have at least 5-10 years’ experience in related field
    • Have some certifications to demonstrate expertise.
    • Have strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Have experience project management professional
    • Management of ERP software, transport management (TMS), and/or logistics (SCM) related positions.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and leadership in LEAN principles and Material Resource Planning (MRP)
    • Have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
    • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Have 2 plus years of proven experience implementing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture and LEAN manufacturing environment
