    Key Responsibilities and Tasks

    • Developing private market and Tender business expansion by promoting Sales of BCS portfolio to increasing our market share
    • Supporting the Africa business venture lead for the Ghana strategy definition and implementation. Be the interface for the new business model project operations pilot between the Africa Venture Lead, the Ghana team, and external partners/customers in Ghana to ensure smooth and successful implementation of the project.
    • Defining and implementing the BCS portfolio strategies in Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Liberia by establishing of a full marketing plan for the portfolio targeting Sahelian and tropical crops segments.
    • Managing the development of BCS Seeds solutions to ensure synergy between CP and seeds businesses.
    • Establishing the annual budget jointly with the Country Commercial Lead West Central Africa and Africa Business Venture Lead
    • Promoting BCS portfolio image in the market through adapted crop action plans reflecting regional strategy.
    • Creating a stakeholder mapping and strategy for the country. Maintain regular contacts with relevant authorities, producer associations, agriculture stakeholders, development agencies. Develop and maintain a stakeholder database.
    • Anticipating market evolutions

    Value Added

    • Managing and promoting sales and distribution of BCS products with channel partners.
    • In cooperation with Marketing Team develop strategies to expand private market business to mitigate BCS dependence on tender business in Ghana, in line with the Ghana strategy.
    • Provide sales forecast figures of BCS business expectations based on understanding of market demands and knowledge.
    • Promote BCS solutions to ensure brand recognition and entrenchment with local distribution chains commercial farm establishments and other government and non-government project inclusions.
    • Select for consideration by management, suitable local distributors for the sales and marketing of BCS products.
    • Manage the relationship between local distributors and BCS at various levels, ensuring full adherence to the Bayer Compliance Policy.
    • Manage Direct orders to BCS supply chain to ensure products are delivered timely.
    • Regularly assess the market to determine gaps to be filled, in collaboration with management, marketing and regulatory colleagues.
    • Control and follow up of clients’ orders, prices lists and risk situations
    • Follow up payments’ situation with credit management Department
    • Prepare business monthly report both quantitative and qualitative, and dashboard with controlling department.

    Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

    • University degree or equivalent in Agriculture
    • Good knowledge about the market and the industry
    • Good proficiency in English, French will be a plus
    • Interest for digital overall and digital farming
    • Entrepreneurship skills and disruptive business model sensitivity
