    Zonal Field Coordinators

    About The Job

    Job Description

    • Coordinate activities of the organization in the assigned zone while building relationships with all relevant stakeholders and opinion leaders to ensure the proper implementation of the project objectives.
    • Manage the activities of the assigned agents ensuring all farmer interventions set by the organization are achieved and report daily to the regional management
    • Scout for new communities for expansion and build relationships in the assigned territory to ensure continuous expansion of the business operations.
    • Conduct training, monitoring, problem-solving, and risk mitigation measures in the adaptation and implementation of strategies that improve yield/productivity within the assigned territory.
    • Coordinate all the logistical requirements of all agents and produce from farmgate within the assigned territory
    • Conduct regular supervision, plan schedule, and audit the activities of the agents within the assigned territory
    • Support in the development of the project framework for input package requirements, baseline studies, and validation of proposals to ensure the project plan is achieved in collaboration with the regional management, operations team, and farmers.
    • Ensure all data requirements set out by the organization are achieved in a timely manner by all agents within the assigned communities.
    • Provide technical support and assistance to all the agents in the assigned territory to prevent any delays or ineffectiveness to the agents’ weekly targets.
    • Plan agent schedule and coordinate activities of agents/agents in collaboration with the regional management ensuring all project objectives are achieved.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with project partners and coordinate resources and service delivery to improve access to credit for farmers

    Requirements:

    • Must be resident in the assigned district/community/territory the farms are located.
    • Availability to start work soon
    • Should have some level of experience working with smallholder farmers
    • Should have good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Should be able to communicate fluently in the local dialect of the assigned district/community/territory
    • Should be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
    • Should be able to use a smartphone and have relevant experience using mobile-enabled data collection tools
    • Should be able to meet the objectives of the organization and pay close attention to the KPI with little or no supervision
    • Must have a valid motor riding license A and the ability to use a motorbike
    • Must have the ability to understand complex problems and present practical proposals to solve them.
    • Have a good understanding and experience in good agronomic practices within the maize and soya beans value chain that leads to improved productivity/yields 
    • Minimum of HND/Degree in Agriculture or Development management with 5 years experience in a similar role (Preferred)
