    Creative Designer

    Role Purpose

    • The graphic designer is a visual storyteller that engages, informs, and inspires, to deliver against the strategy and vision of the Vodafone Brand.  
    • The creative designer is an individual who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, both in print and electronic media and execute within the brand strategy. 
    • The creative designer has an expert knowledge of current design software and skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams in Vodafone Ghana and partner agencies, the creative designer should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects with the Vodafone Brand.

    Key accountabilities/responsibilities and decision ownership 

    • Responsible for the creation of graphic/creative assets in line with briefs provided by the Senior Creative Brand Manager.
    • Production of concepts and creative assets that are consistent across Digital and Social marketing.
    • They must have Formal / informal design education, and the the ability to design concepts and animate for cross device (mobile and desktop) digital ad units.
    • Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.
    • Obtain inputs from Brand managers, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately
    • Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects within the Brand and marketing communications team, meeting deadlines and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
    • Examine existing processes, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve design capabilities
    • Update and maintain internal databases of designs, photography, and video
    • Develops and submits reports on all projects worked on with clear learnings and recommendations implementable on future projects 

    Capabilities and Technical Requirement

    • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
    • Formal / informal design education, and the ability to design concepts and animate for cross device (mobile and desktop) digital ad units.
    • Deep Knowledge of design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.
    • Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Professional experience in graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency
    • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
    • Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems a plus
    • Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software
    • Desire to continue to grow skill set with ongoing education and training

    Prior Experience

    • Experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.
    • Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work
    • Must demonstrate clear knowledge of and understanding of the local marketing communications landscape 
    • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript

    Data Analyst

    About Role

    • Work closely with various teams across the Consumer Business Unit (CBU) to identify and solve business challenges by utilizing large structured, semi-structured, and unstructured  data in a distributed processing environment

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership

    • Perform quantitative analysis of product trends to recommend mass/segmentation decisions.
    • Analyse and track customer behaviour to identify trends and unmet needs.
    • Prepare periodic and regular reports on prepaid base activity levels and Churn for decision making.
    • Monitor the pre- and post-launch performance of products in relation to generated revenue and customer satisfaction.
    • Work closely with product team to conduct pre and post benefit analysis on new and existing products in the market.
    • Assist in developing internal tools for data analysis. Like dashboards, cubes and various reports.
    • Analyse large datasets to provide strategic direction to the company.
    • Prepare various Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports.

    External Communications Manager

    Role purpose: 

    • To lead the development and execution of communication strategies with a focus on managing corporate brand related risks and opportunities to protect and build reputation       and brand value.  
    • Provide strategic communication solutions for the business and offer oversight responsibility for engaging with stakeholders.
    • Develop a process to manage and align the company’s external messaging in a way that builds and sustains Vodafone’s image and reputation. 
    • Work closely with local and international media houses to manage Vodafone’s media exposure. 
    • Coordinate the external communications and the stakeholder engagement work streams to deliver the strategic objectives of the business.
    • Be the main SPOC for Vodafone Ghana on all external communications, studying trends across other VF Opcos for best practice sharing etc.
    • Responsible for managing the PR of the Foundation to promote brand affinity and ensure a strategic communication plan for the Foundation all year through. 

    Job Responsibility
    Communications and Media Relations: 

    • Liaise with the Foundation and Sustainability manager in facilitating internal and external communications and visibility on the Foundation and Sustainability issues
    • Public Profiling /Awareness Creation on the Work of the foundation
    • Act as the communications business partner for senior management and various functions, providing relevant communication solutions to help build the Vodafone Brand
    • Develop and execute integrated communication plans aligned to the strategic objectives of the business
    • Fashion out policy standards applicable to Corporate Communications in line with Group standards
    • Manage the media exposure of the C.E.O. and all SMT members through the necessary preparations, Q and As, fact sheets and interview schedules. 
    • Monitor news items and ensure that the right mitigation measures are taken on negative stories about the VF brand.
    • Supervise the tracking, on a daily basis, of reporting on VF Ghana and competitors in key news channels.
    • Pitch stories in a way that generates positive news for the Vodafone brand.
    • Develop and sustain relationships with key media personnel to help Vodafone’s story telling.
    • Create content for news releases, articles, speeches, presentations for various channels including Vodafone’s website, Facebook, Twitter and any other social media channels
    • Develop and implement a social media strategy for VF to enhance competitive advantage
    • Develop and apply monthly themes to the various content created and distributed across news channels.

    Reputation Management and Public Relations:

    • Develop programs to enhance the profile and reputation of Vodafone as the telecom company of choice in Ghana
    • Prepare position papers for Vodafone on critical industry issues and ensure consistent messaging across audience 
    • Position Vodafone as a thought-leader in the telecoms industry through relevant engagements and exposures
    • Provide guidance and direction in a way that ensures that Vodafone leverages the PR value in its key events and sponsorships.

    Must have technical / professional qualification:

    Geo Marketing Analyst

    Role Purpose

    • Reporting to the Geo Marketing & Research Manager (Insights) the role holder will lead the geospatial market, consumer understanding and provide technology insights on expansion, network strength to ensure timely availability of location-based market insights and the local relevance of Vodafone Ghana’s initiatives, offerings, and executions. 
    • Propose marketing solutions based on data collection and analysis through the DB and GIS software.
    • Apply & develop new analytics to yield business insights.

    Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership
    Customer and Market Profiling

    • Integrate and analyse market research data, official statistics, and internal MIS to adequately profile our customers and markets at both national and decentralized levels (territories, regions, circuits, zones etc).
    • Liaise with various national and local governmental agencies, research institutions and other organizations to access secondary data for a robust geo-marketing capability.
    • Provide in-depth understanding of regional and zonal operational and financial performance
    • Support Marketing, Customer Operations, Sales & Distribution, MFS and Enterprise Business with insights for roll-out efforts (Outdoor visibility, POS deployment, etc).

    Footprint Expansion

    • Recommend and drive the prioritization of network coverage expansion efforts with rigorous market analysis.
    • Lead the development and use of user-friendly GIS tools for spatial awareness, decision making and executions.
    • Provide web apps for wireless planning and service qualification. 
    • Support Network engineers with visualization of existing and proposed towers and cell locations, RF coverage, fibre infrastructure, and the suitable areas for new antennas.

    Market Intelligence

    • Proactively gather intelligence on competitors in the regions versus Vodafone Ghana’s regional and territorial footprints.
    • Propose marketing solutions based on data collection and analysis through the DB and GIS software.
    • Apply & develop new analytics to yield business insights.
    • Maintain quality control of collected information, ensuring accuracy and privacy.

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

    • In-depth experience in Business Analysis & Planning.
    • Experience using SQL and Statistical languages, data mining & geo-marketing modelling (GIS Technologies, Big Data Tools, ETL Tool / Esri ArcGIS or other GIS tools).
    • Aware of various sources for official statistics.
    • Experience in database management (systems & processes) is highly desired.
    • Knowledge of consumer behaviour and psychology.
    • Very strong business acumen and competitor awareness.
    • Mastery of Ghana’s geography, demography, and economic trends.

    Technical /professional qualifications

    • University degree in Geo-Informatics, Geomatics, Operations Research or Geography with adequate Business Courses.
    • Master’s Degree in Engineering Management, Business Intelligence Systems is a plus.
    • 5+ years relevant post National Service working experience in Telecoms/FMCG.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data analysis, marketing surveys, research oriented.
