    Asset and Inventory Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    Purpose of the position:

    • To set up and maintain an efficient assets and inventory management system to enable proper monitoring and safeguarding of assets and inventories.
    • Communicate World Vision's Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.

    Major Responsibilities:                                                         

    • Ensure the maintenance, updating and proper tracking of fixed assets register in accordance with policy.
    • Ensure stock taking is done at least twice a year and advise management on the disposal of obsolete items
    • Preparing the purchase orders, receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out the supplies from the stock.
    • Ensure timely implementation of all audit recommendation relating to the management of fixed assets and inventories.
    • Design and set up efficient fixed assets and inventory management system at the projects and train field finance staff in fixed assets and inventory management.
    • To oversee that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement. Similarly, he/she ensures that the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse
    • To maintain record of receipts as well as issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse so as to ensure accuracy and completeness
    • He/she is responsible for preparing the reports on adjustments done to inventories that may be damaged, spoilt, etc., and coordinates the purchasing, inventory and warehousing functions.

    • To ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking.

    Other Competencies/Attributes:

    • Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
    • Attend and participate/lead in daily devotions and monthly Chapel services.
    • Perform other duties as required.

    Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

    The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

    • Minimum Educational level required: Degree in Accounting or Part 11 of ACCA/CA/CIMA
    • HND Procurement/Supply Chain
    • Technical Training qualifications required:  Good working knowledge in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
    • Experience:  2 years working experience in similar position

    Essential Skills

    He/she should have excellent oral and written communication skills

    2. Should have methodical approach to complete the assigned work and pay attention to details

    Quality Assurance Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Visit proposed drilling operation sites to ensure and verify the appropriateness of the identified location
    • Prepare specifications and bills of quantities for drilling operation activities handled by contractors
    • Work with the drilling operations coordinator/s, water quality lab manager, construction engineers to exchange data and ensure adherence to quality and standards
    • Ensure that the right quantity & quality of drilling materials are used for the drilling operation; pay special attention to contaminants that may come along with gravel material, bentonite and other additives
    • Work with supply chain focal person to develop drilling activity contracts
    • Inspect and prepare reports of drilling activities; authorize payments for completed projects
    • Coordinate with the field operations coordinator/s to develop schedules to meet timetables for donor requirements
    • Ensure The implementation of occupational health and safety and project work plans.
    • Monitor project budget, project expenses and handle any project variance claims with contractors
    • Develop and maintain professional relationships with contractors and vendors.
    • Assist in the implementation of policies, operating procedures, quality system and programmes which ensure proper testing, evaluation, inspection and technical support in order to meet product quality standard
    • Assist in investigations and correcting quality related issues through collaboration with departments
    • Developing and Implementing standards for inspections and developing workflow
    • Developing plans to help departments manage waste
    • Developing plan to help the maintenance unit operate under optimum level cutting down cost of operational activities
    • Interpret and Implement quality assurance standards and procedures in the workshop and other departments
    • Partner with People and Culture Department to Institute health and Safety guidelines/procedure within the operational team
