    Pharmacist

    •  suitably qualifies and experienced person to assist with processing and dispensing of medication for in hospital and retail including billing, stock management and efficient, friendly customer liaison, in accordance with policies and procedures as determined by audit requirements. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager or Senior Pharmacist

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    •  Evaluating prescriptions for appropriate dosages and treatment protocols
    •  Dispensing of medication for in-patients and out-patients (retail)
    •  Preparing and processing (billing) of in-patient and out-patient prescriptions
    •  Managing stock purchases to maintain stock cover days. Maintain adequate stock levels on designated shelves and placing orders when required
    •  Liaising with doctors and nursing with any product queries
    •  Handling of complaints from patients and staff
    •  Training and supervision Pharmacist Assistants as assigned
    •  Processing of medical waste for disposal
    •  Ensure daily temperature checks are done on cold storage facilities
    •  Receiving and unpacking of stock, packing of shelves. Reconciliation of purchase orders when required

    Qualification Required & Experience

    •  Previous experience in a private hospital and knowledge on ethical, patent and surgical products would be an advantage
    •  Computer literate. Knowledge of Hospital Information systems would be an advantage

    Ethicals Buyer

    • Responsibilities will include supplier liaison, sourcing required stock items ensuring accurate processing and control of surgical products between nursing units, theatre and pharmacy in accordance with policies and procedures as determined by management and audit requirements.
    •  The stock controller will report to the senior pharmacist.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    •  Daily counting, issuing and reconciliation of stock
    •  Stock replenishment, ensuring orders are placed timeously
    •  Checking of orders and notifying of any discrepancies (Shortages or over supply)

    Biomedical Scientist

    Responsible for processing biomedical specimens, analysing and reporting on results as part of integrated biomedical services within the hospital.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    •  Perform manual, semi-automated and fully automated laboratory investigations accurately and safely according to best practice and professional protocols
    •  Identify analyse and report on microscopic, cytology, haematology or other examination of specimens/patient’s conditions and explain results
    •  Perform detailed blood typing, antibody screening, compatibility testing, and antibody identification procedures

    Technical Clerk

    •  General office and workshop facilitation and support for the Technical team with administrative and technical tasks. Perform basic administrative tasks including filing, composing emails, printing documents, scheduling meetings, answering phones, and creating reports.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    •  Provide general clerical assistance to assure the smooth operation of the Maintenance Department

    Clinical Assistant

    •  To liaise appropriately with all key members of the multidisciplinary team. Provide assistance to the consulting Specialist/medical practitioner as required.

    Mortuary Technician

     To receive and release bodies from the mortuary, , and to deal with relatives of the deceased in a sympathetic manner.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    •  To ensure that the mortuary and its equipment is maintained to the highest possible standards of cleanliness, safety and efficiency.
    •  To ensure that the acceptance and release of bodies into the mortuary is carried out and that all bodies are stored in proper conditions. To liaise with the portering staff who fulfil this role out of hours.
    •  Recordkeeping and interdepartmental liaison

    •  To prepare bodies for embalming.

    •  At least 2 years’ experience in a mortuary and embalming. Private hospital experience is an advantage
