    Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

    Job Description

    The Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for the implementation of all aspects of the programme Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (ME&L) Plan including data collection, alignment of project activities to the plan, and reporting. As directed by the Chief of Party or their designee, the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist shall perform, oversee, and support the performance of the following specific tasks

     Position Responsibilities

    Indicator Data Collection, Verification, and Management

    •  Develop and maintain a database containing all indicator data for the project by activity and in alignment with the components of the ME&L Plan
    •  Collect and verify indicator data from all activities, disaggregate data as appropriate
    •  Attend major project events for data collection
    •  Maintain version control and change log for ME&L Plan document

    Alignment of Project Activities to ME&L Plan

    • Support the alignment of all project activities to Performance Indicators, Targets, and Expected Results in the ME&L Plan
    • Support setting of monitoring and evaluation targets
    • Assist in revising the ME&L and Annual Work Plans as required

    Progress Reporting

    • Report on progress against indicators and results to technical teams, project leadership, and to the client as requested
    • Prepare quarterly and annual report content relevant to progress against ME&L plan
    • As needed, alert project leadership about issues with data quality and progress against targets and propose solutions for mitigating risks

    Qualifications

    • Possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., B.A., B.Eng./B. Tech., etc.) 
    • Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of 6 years cognate experience

    Required Skills

    • Demonstrated experience conducting ME&L work within the region

    Travel and Events Coordinator

    Programme Description

    Job Description

    Travel Coordination

    • Support the development and implementation of project travel policies, procedures, processes, and templates
    • Coordinate the development and approval of international travel requests for submission to client
    • Make travel arrangements for project staff members as required
    • Assist project staff members in obtaining required visas and residency permits and track renewal requirements
    • Maintain project travel calendar and regularly communicate updates to the project leadership team, the security team, and other relevant parties
    • Establish and manage relationships with travel service providers including travel agencies, hotels, visa service providers, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Events Coordination

    • Support the development and implementation of project events policies, procedures, processes, and templates
    • Maintain master events calendar for the project and regularly communicate updates to the project leadership team, the security team, and other relevant parties

    • Work with other operations team members to secure venues, procure goods and services in support of project events, in line with the client and Deloitte requirements
    • Work with the communications specialist to design and distribute invitations and event promotion materials
    • Ensure that officials receive invitations, talking points, and event materials in a timeline compliant with the clients mission guidelines
    • Assist in collecting monitoring and evaluation data related to project events

    Job Description

    Direct Report: Chief of Party 

    The Information Technology (IT) Specialist will be responsible for managing the project’s overall IT and technology security needs. This includes managing the project server(s) or document filing/storage system, coordinating ongoing maintenance of equipment, assisting with technical challenges, and monitoring compliance with project policies related to technology use and security.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Manage project office IT systems and equipment, including:
    • Provide training and guidance for staff members
    • Collect project requirements and lead selection and installation of IT systems and equipment
    • Manage the systems over time and provide technical support
    • Liaise with third-party service providers as needed
    • Manage staff email addresses and overall account with the identified service provider
    • Support the ongoing maintenance of IT equipment (computers, printers, etc.) and assist team members with technical issues
    • Keep track of all IT equipment and ensure assets are properly recorded and tagged according to requirements
    • Lead the development of a thorough Confidential Information Management Plan (CIMP), which should detail how staff members must handle various project documents and information, and in general how the team plans to protect confidential material
    • Develop and implement information security protocols and systems to protect project information. Enforce compliance with the approved CIMP plan and other project technology protocols on an ongoing basis, using audits as needed.

    Position Description

    The Office Manager will be responsible for working closely with the Deputy Chief of Party and the Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of the project’s administrative, operations, and finance activities.

     Position Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and enforce project policies, protocols, and procedures relating to time and expense reporting, finance, accounting, human resources, travel, staffing, procurement, and other operations activities in alignment with our client and Deloitte policies and procedures
    •  Assist in preparing reports and deliverables including accrual reports, burn rate projections, quarterly reports, annual reports, and responding to other ad hoc reporting requests
    • Oversee human resource management functions for local staff including obtaining appropriate approvals and vetting, negotiating salaries, collecting required documentation, and employment contract execution
    • Manage procurement of goods and services in compliance with our clients and Deloitte policies and procedures
    •  Support travel coordination and event management
    •  Maintain timeliness and quality control process for relevant deliverables and financial management processes

    Coordinate effective office operations including overseeing office supply Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and oversight of team members as required

    Qualifications

    Job Description

    The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for leading the programmes environmental assessment and stakeholder engagement activities. As directed by the Chief of Party or their designee, the Environmental Specialist shall perform, oversee, and support the performance of the following specific tasks:

    Position Responsibilities

    • Provide targeted technical assistance to public sector stakeholders, utilities, and project developers to carry out the environmental assessment and stakeholder engagement activities, utilizing Power Africa’s Community Engagement Tool, such as public involvement programs, environmental management plans, resettlement action plans, and benefit sharing mechanisms
    • Identify the programmes activities with potential environmental impact, and develop plans to help reduce that impact
    • Work with the COP and Outcome Leads to ensure ongoing focus on environmental footprint as well as compliance with environmental monitoring activities related to the programmes work
    • Support project activities to create and strengthen relevant policy frameworks at the national level, including stakeholder engagement, environmental assessment and licensing, resettlement, and local community benefit sharing

    Gender Specialist

    Programme Description

    Deloitte is leading a power sector transformation programme which has been established by a development agency to support reform within Ghana’s power sector. The objective of programme is to expand supply of and access to affordable and reliable grid-connected electricity services in West Africa through a range of technical assistance, capacity building, and transactional support to advance Power Africa’s objectives in selected countries in the West Africa region.

    Job Description

    The Gender Specialist will be responsible for leading the programmes gender inclusion activities, including developing and implementing activities designed to increase access by women to modern electricity services to enhance their social and economic opportunities, increase employment opportunities for women at utilities and government agencies, increase the number of women in leadership positions within the energy sector, and facilitate training for women in technical fields. 

    Position Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the development of the programmes Gender Strategy and Gender Integration Plan, Annual Work Plan, Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, and specific project activities relating to gender and social inclusion
    • Design, implement, and monitor outcomes of gender activities
    • Review proposed project activities to assess gender impact and support achievement of the project’s gender-related goals and targets
    • Plan and conduct trainings with staff, counterparts, and beneficiaries on issues related to gender and the energy sector
    • Review project deliverables, communications products, and other materials from a gender perspective as requested by project leadership
