    Logistics Officer

    Job Summary:

    • You will coordinate the implementation of all day-to-day logistics activities to ensure all programs and operations have the goods and services needed when they need them in support of high-quality programs serving the poor and vulnerable.
    • Your knowledge and experience will allow you to coordinate commodity and logistics needs and challenges and the implementation of solutions, as you apply the principles of stewardship, integrity, transparency, and accountability.

    Roles and Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate with the supply chain team and relevant programming staff on logistics services that meet the pipeline requirements. Help identify challenges in supply chain management and provide recommendations to address those.
    • Support the implementation of delivery operations from arrival of goods in-country (or local purchase point) to the warehouses and on to the final distribution centers in accordance with CRS and donor regulations and international and local supply chain standards and requirements
    • Ensure that the physical organization of items within the store/s is logical, optimizing space, clean and preserving accessibility of items.
    • Ensure physical inventories are done on a regular basis. Collaborate and communicate with the procurement team to ensure they receive timely purchase requisitions with comprehensive specifications, delivery schedules, and other terms and conditions, including for labeling, branding, and marking.
    • Provide regular coaching and support to CRS and partner staff and laborers to ensure they have the capacity to implement accurately, consistently, and transparently commodity logistics processes and to abide by security, safety, and health requirements.
    • Help coordinate and supervise activities related to commodity receipt, transportation, distribution, and disposal. Liaise with surveyors, C&F agents, the Fleet, partners, and other parties to ensure the timely receipts and distribution of goods.
    • Maintain updated files with all required logistics documents and ensure all supply chain management activities and movements are fully and accurately documented. Prepare and/or review all reports prior to submission per distribution requirements.
    • Provide weekly logistics reports to the Head of Office about the work progress and faced challenges to update the requester and project managers.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or other relevant degree preferred. Professional certifications(s) in supply chain or equivalent field strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years work experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement management, preferably with an international organization.
    • Knowledge of political dynamics along the chain, infrastructure, market knowledge, as well as related laws and regulations.
    • Required Languages- English
    • Travel- Must be willing and able to travel up to 25 %.

    • Good analytical skills with ability to make independent judgment and decisions

    Preferred Qualifications

    Risk and Compliance Officer Sr

    Job Summary:

    • You will conduct risk related activities for the Ghana country program (CP) including compliance adhering to CRS policies, local laws, and donor regulations to help ensure effective delivery of high-quality programming to the poor and vulnerable.
    • Your knowledge and skills will help reduce risk to staff, to the effectiveness of our programming and to the people we serve through the application of the principles of stewardship, integrity, transparency, and accountability.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Roles and Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the audit lead in WARO, Finance Manager and CP leadership on strengthening internal control systems and processes and continuous process performance improvement.
    • Anticipate and help to identify risk issues and challenges and the most appropriate solutions to address them.
    • Help coordinate, implement, and advise on the sub-recipient financial management policy (SRFMP) affecting the CP projects Sub recipients.
    • In collaboration with CP management, plan and perform internal audits, control reviews and compliance assessments. Analyze results and provide recommendations
    • In collaboration with CP management, programming, and/or operation leads, design and facilitate relevant risk training sessions and contribute to relevant components of institutional capacity strengthening plans for the CP and partners.
    • Identify program implementation risk as it affects implementation of CP programs and provide mitigation action.
    • Provide support on identification, analyzing finance and program risk as it affects other CP projects and provide mitigation actions.
    • Monitor and ensure that the mitigation action plans are implemented and operates optimally
    • Serve as liaison and support external audits. Coordinate action plans to close out audit findings.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration and or Accounting or audit certification highly preferred.  
    • Minimum of 5 years of work experience ideally with an international organization, with progressive responsibility in operations and/or programming.
    • At least 3 of these years entailing audit, compliance, or risk management experience.
    • Required Languages – English
    • Travel - Must be willing and able to travel up to 30%.
