    Franchisee Sales Officer

    Main purpose of the position:

    • To drive penetration of SAFBUILD (Pre-Engineered Light Gauge Steel Building) segment through Franchisee network/Sales Agents and meet set out targets for the Kenyan operation profitably.
    • Accelerate recruitment of sales agents countrywide for SAFBUILD
    • Support Sales Agents to ensure all projects are profitable and customer payments and project milestones are achieved on time in full
    • Develop with the marketing team trade marketing initiatives and actions to promote SAFBUILD Sales agents

    Requirements

    Key responsibilities:

    •  To drive growth of Cold formed steel structures for standard buildings though franchisee initiatives
    • To achieve the annual targets both in terms of volume and value by initiating and pushing franchisee programs and activities
    • Formulate sales strategies for assigned country. Collaborate with marketing function and identify potential/new franchisees.
    • Formulate policy and guideline in handling business contracts, securing required contact and background information on franchisees.
    • Prepare sales forecasts, objectives and development of robust project pipelines
    • To develop a robust pipeline of projects for standard buildings through engagements with franchisees
    • Build relationship with Franchisees, manage them end to end coordination with internal departments for design and estimation based on Franchisee requirement.
    • Manage the full life cycle of project delivery in conjunction with the immediate Manager
    • Run training programs for the franchisees as required
    • Ensure efficient Franchisee relations management and customer service.
    • Ensure Franchisee accounts are within credit limits, cash collection and debtor`s management
    • Monitor competition closely and provide regular reporting with respect to competitor strategy, products and prices

    Key KPIs

    • Sale Ten(10) buildings per month
    • Recruit at least Three(3) Franchisees  per month

    Qualifications required:

    • Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering or Architect
    • Qualifications as an added advantage:  Diploma is Sales and Marketing or Business Development or Project Management
    • Professional registration:  Affiliation to professional bodies in Engineering or Marketing

    Experience required:

    • General work experience (years): 5-7 years in Sales and Marketing/Business Development
    • Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 3-5 years in Franchisee Business Model
    • Industry:  Building/Construction/Machinery and equipment

    Manager-Accounting, Reporting and Internal Control

    Description

    • Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
    • Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual P&L consolidations and financial reporting consistent with GAAP and Policy
    • Analysing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
    • Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
    • Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
    • Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
    • Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
    • Coordinates Audits with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with policy and regulations; coordinates with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
    • Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
    • Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
    • Assess the adequacy of reserves and overall financial reporting.
    • Ensure adequate training and oversight is provided to all finance personnel to ensure account reconciliations meet the business requirements.
    • Establish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company asset and provides for integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities.  
    • Keeping informed about the latest developments in the finance industry.
    • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

    Requirements

    Qualifications required:

    • Minimum academic qualification:  Master’s degree in MBA or Equivalent
    • Qualifications as an added advantage:  CPA (K) or ACCA
    • Professional registration: ICPAK
    • Industry: Manufacturing

    Experience required:

    • General work experience (years): 15 years
    • Specific to the position (level/discipline/years):  10 years

    Key Competencies and Technical Skills:

    • CPA (K) or ACCA
    • Analytical skills
    • Financial Acumen
