    PA to the CBU Director

    Role Purpose

    • To provide high-level administrative support to the CBU director and the CBU Function as required. Provide effective and proactive support to the CBU Director by managing the process for all governance meetings, including communicating decisions and agreed actions and follow up in a timely manner, working closely with business units as appropriate. Provide commercial support and assistance to the CBU Director. Provide governance and co-ordination of activities including critical business issues, reporting and analysis, project management and overseeing preparation of management documents.  The role will act as the interface between CBU and Vodafone Ghana on requests for information and will be responsible for source information and compilation of reports and presentations, as required.
    • Act as a link between the CBU Director and the direct-reporting team, working behind the scenes to solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues.  Manage the conflict, politics, personalities, and issues.   

    Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership
    Provide Support to CBU Director

    • Management of the calendar, correspondence and logistics of the CBU Director including logistics for the wider team (supplies, conferences, meetings)
    • Arrange meetings and conferences including the handling of communication, travel arrangements, process related functions and documentations.
    • Collate CBU Director’s reports e.g. weekly Mgt team update. Provide key management/ SMT level reports for CBU Director where required e.g. operational/project reviews / budget reviews / off sites 
    • Manage documentation on behalf of CBU Director with emphasis on confidentiality.  Flag up agenda items with CBU Director’s direct reports and other heads as appropriate 
    • Prepare, proof read and edit all outgoing correspondence. Manage / support the Finance Director special projects and support with business projects

    Proactively manage the total workflow of the CBU Function and ensure efficiency in driving deliverables

    • Serve as the point of contact between CBU and other internal and external stakeholders by facilitating the aggregation and exchanging of relevant information meetings
    • Drive all  agreed CBU Functional engagements
    • Manage the budget and expense processes across the CBU Function including raising purchase orders, receipting, etc.
    • Create a dashboard to manage all workflow in-stream across the CBU Function ensure timely delivery against timelines
    • Manage the total information database of the CBU Function by developing and maintaining a system to archive all relevant output and information
    •  Ad hoc Projects 
    • Undertake ad hoc projects or tasks as requested by the CBU Director
    • Own, analyse & make recommendations on projects.

    • Must be able to work seamlessly across the CBU team and channel all key inputs into desired outcomes
    • Must show initiative and anticipate the needs of the team and work proactively to deliver the necessary support
    • Manage, facilitate, and provide structure to CBU Leadership Team meetings
    • Develop wider key team relationships with the CBU Director’s Direct Reports

    Knowledge and experience

    • Commercial planning background is ideal, finance background desirable
    • Work with Senior Management teams on a day to day basis providing credible and appropriate challenge when necessary
    • Proven ability to influence and build relationships at a high level across different territories 
    • Excellent commercial acumen and ability to identify and solve varied business problems 
    • Strong prioritization, organizational and people management skills 
    • Demonstrate a robust personal style in combination with a flexible solution driven approach
    • Excellent written and spoken English
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills to ensure credibility with higher level management 

    Communication

    • Preparation of key events for CBU and where the CBU Director is involved, as required.
    • Production of high quality communications that is accurate, timely, and effective.
    • Customers, Suppliers and Third Parties 

    The person will work closely with:

    • CBU Leadership Team
    • Cross functional teams especially with commercial management team
    • EXCO as and when needed

    Digital Architect

    Role Purpose

    • Responsible for steering Vodafone Ghana’s digital innovations through analysing, designing, planning and optimization of a cost effective digital ecosystem in line with the Digital and Cloud Strategy. Have the requisite working experience to Create, Maintain and Simplify an effective and robust Digital architecture for Vodafone Ghana in line with industry best practice, local OpCo and Vodafone Group long term goals and strategy.

    Job Responsibility

    • Driving agile sessions, architecting and designing highly available Digital channel solutions to meet requirements as defined by the Business Area.
    • Support the IT teams to review software and solution designs to confirm compliance with the digital architecture principles, specifications, lead design discussions, present ideas to colleagues and assist in the integration of applications and technologies.
    • Advise and share experience on complex integration of digital channel issues by providing technical guidance to project team members (consultancy).
    • Set targets for success, and carry out on-going risk analysis. Identify and manage risks to success and escalate accordingly.
    • Continued monitoring of digital channels capacity and planning towards the mitigation of any capacity issues.
    • Liaise with Vodafone & Vodacom Group Centre of Excellence in communicating and driving digital architecture strategies. 

    Professional / Technical Skills

    • BSc. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent
    • Masters in related discipline is a plus
    • Cloud technology certifications (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM, Huawei Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, VMWare Tanzu etc)
    • More than 3 years’ experience in the digital/integration/software architectures in a telecom environment with preference for a demonstrated digital transformation engagement.
    • Excellent knowledge of well-architected Cloud infrastructure networks, digital channel sizing and build, omni-channel tenets, Telco Cloud, cloud applications development and micro-services development and management
    • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of, having driven digital systems in complex environments and experience in Digital Channels Design, SDN, NFV, VNF and Architecture design management experience in large and complex environments
