Africa Sourcing Specialist - Indirect Materials & Services with our Manufacturing client at Walk In Solutions

Role Purpose:

Overseeing & coordinating all InDirect Procurement activities within Africa Markets, in order to deliver strategic sourcing initiatives, supporting Markets in achieving their targets through the satisfactory delivery of all Indirect materials /services they require.

Job Responsibilities:

•  Evaluating sourcing procedures and presenting improvement strategies to senior management for approval.
• Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies.
• Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.
• Collaborating with the procurement department to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.
• Conducting market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
• Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations.
• Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.
• Ensuring compliance in all sourcing delivery channels, with the end game of achieving the business & savings agenda.
• Engages and establishes business partnerships with cross functional leadership across Africa to collaborate, influence, and drive sourcing strategies.
• Provides high level guidance on the overall continuous strategic sourcing process from needs identification, through supplier performance management.
• Develops and manages sub-category wide SPM (Supplier Performance Management) plans with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
• Supports the implementation of Global Sourcing policies and procedures.

Educational Qualification & Experience required :

• BE Mechanical Engineering or any similar degree is preferred .
• Min 15 years of experience in relevant Industry.
• Must be managing sourcing in similar categories (In-directs) in current role for Multiple Countries
